The consumer shows: facts, scale and who visits
Vietnam Sport Show and Vietnam Cycle Expo 2027
The Vietnam Sport Show (12th edition in 2027) and the Vietnam Cycle Expo (Vietnam International Two-Wheel Exhibition) share a hall and a week at SECC. VINEXAD organises both, with Huiyuan (China) as partner on the Sport Show and the Vietnam Motorcycle and Bicycle Association (VAMOBA) on the Cycle Expo, per the official sites. The 2026 editions were supported by the Sports Authority of Vietnam.
- 2026 result: on 13–15 August 2026 the two shows and the Zhejiang Export Fair opened together with 520 booths operated by 400 businesses from 15 countries and territories (VietnamPlus, VNA), on about 10,000 m² (Vietnam News). The 2025 edition had more than 350 enterprises from 15 countries and territories.
- Categories: fitness equipment, outdoor and leisure, sporting goods, sportswear, sports facilities and rehabilitation; bicycles, electric bicycles, components and accessories; OEM/ODM manufacturing.
- Programme: B2B matchmaking between Vietnamese and international firms and market-survey tours for buyer delegations.
- 2027 claims: the Sport Show site describes 520 booths from 400+ companies in 15 countries and expects more than 15,000 visitors. That matches 2026, so read it as “similar scale expected”. The Cycle Expo site shows 600 booths, 550 exhibitors and 20,000 visitors without a year. Official site: sportshow.com.vn.

Who walks this floor: sports retailers, gym operators, sports federations and clubs, bicycle and e-bike dealers, assemblers and parts buyers. “Vietnam cycle” draws 100–1,000 searches a month in Vietnam and 1,000–10,000 worldwide, but much of that is cycling holidays and rickshaws; “vietnam sport show” draws 100–1,000 worldwide (Keyword Planner, October 2026).
Zhejiang Export Fair in Vietnam 2027
The Zhejiang Export Fair (Hội chợ Giao dịch Xuất khẩu Chiết Giang) is an export fair run by China’s Zhejiang Province in the ASEAN region. It has been held in Vietnam since 2011 (VINEXAD via Vietnam News, 4 August 2026). The 15th edition runs 19–21 August 2027 at SECC; it is organised by Zhejiang Yuanda International Exhibition and co-organised by VINEXAD.
- Exhibit groups: hardware, textiles and accessories, two-wheelers and parts, sports and outdoor goods (official site).
- Counters: 10,000 m², 520 booths, 400 exhibitors and 15,857 visitors (no year; the area and booth figures match the combined August block).
- Who it is for: Vietnamese importers and distributors who buy from China, and foreign sourcing offices in Vietnam who want to compare Zhejiang factories without a trip to Yiwu, Ningbo or Hangzhou. For Zhejiang manufacturers, it is a ready-made route to Vietnamese distributors.
VietOffice and EduTech Vietnam 2027

VietOffice, the International Exhibition for Smart Office Solutions, Office Equipment and Stationery, holds its 4th edition on 29 June – 1 July 2027 in SECC Hall A, alongside the new EduTech Vietnam (Vietnam International Technology & Educational Equipment Exhibition) on the same dates. VietOffice 2026 had 160 booths from 130 companies from 8 countries and territories, organised with the Vietnam Office Machines Association (VOMA), according to VINEXAD. Visitors: office-supply distributors, stationery retailers, corporate procurement, and with EduTech, schools, universities and training centres. “Vietoffice” draws 100–1,000 searches a month in Vietnam, which suggests the trade already knows the name.
Japan Expo Hanoi 2027
Japan Expo @ Hanoi 2027 (J-EXPO) runs 29–31 July 2027 at I.C.E Hanoi, 91 Tran Hung Dao. It is a trade show for Japanese brands, Japanese companies and Japanese-made products (“Made-in-Japan / Made-by-Japan”). The secretariat is in Hong Kong; it is co-organised by VINEXAD, with support listed from the Hanoi People’s Committee and the Hanoi Department of Industry and Trade.
- Sections: food and beverage (seafood, sake, whisky, Japanese tea, snacks, seasonings); fashion and accessories; gifts, toys and baby products; cosmetics and healthcare products; technology.
- Organiser targets: 200+ exhibitors, 250+ booths, 15,000+ visitors.
- Planned supporting associations: the Association of Vietnam Retailers, Vietnam E-commerce Association, Vietnam Beauty Association and Vietnam Association of Functional Food, among others.
- Market figure used by the organiser: Japanese exports to Vietnam of about US$24.7 billion in 2025, +14% (j-expo.jp; organiser’s figure).
IBTE, IEAE and IGHE: the November consumer block at VEC Hanoi
Three shows led by Chaoyu Expo and co-organised by VINEXAD run together at VEC on 18–21 November 2027.
- IBTE (baby products and toys), run with GLE, a licensing expo. 2026 editions: Hanoi, 18–21 June, VEC Halls 2–3; HCMC, 10–13 December, SECC. Counters: 20,000 m², 1,000 booths, 500 exhibitors, 40,000 visitors. “ibte” draws 100–1,000 searches a month in Vietnam.
- IEAE (electronics and smart appliances). IEAE Hanoi 2026 runs 5–7 November 2026 at VEC Halls 2–3 with more than 300 exhibitors on over 20,000 m² (Bizhub, 15 October 2026). The organisers target distributors and dealers, e-commerce and livestream sellers, KOLs, sourcing offices and FDI firms, and highlight Chinese suppliers with factories in Vietnam offering small trial orders.
- IGHE (housewares and gifts). HCMC 2026: 10–13 December, SECC. Counters: 10,000 m², 500 booths, 250 exhibitors, 40,000 visitors.

Vietnam Home & Garden Expo 2027
The Vietnam Home & Garden Expo runs 2–4 December 2027 at SECC, alongside the 25th Vietnam Expo HCMC, the Hardware & Hand Tools Expo and the Elevator Expo. The 2026 edition is on 3–5 December 2026 at SECC. It covers home decoration, furniture, garden equipment, outdoor living and landscape; the site shows 350 exhibitors, 400 booths, 15 countries and 20,000 visitors without a year. A search for “home and garden expo” from abroad mostly returns US and Australian consumer shows; this is the trade event in Ho Chi Minh City.

Why a consumer brand should exhibit in Vietnam in 2027
A consumer goods trade show in Vietnam is not where you sell to shoppers. It is where you choose the importer who will sell for you. These are the reasons that make the trip worth it, with the numbers behind them.
1. Vietnamese retail spending grew 12.9% in the first half of 2026
Retail sales of goods and consumer services passed VND7 quadrillion (about US$262.7 billion) in 2025, up 9.2%, with food and foodstuffs up 9.7% (NSO via VNA, 8 January 2026). In the first half of 2026 they reached VND3,889.5 trillion, up 12.9% nominal and 7.3% after prices; goods made up 75.6% of that total (NSO via Vietnam News, 4 July 2026). Hanoi grew 12.7%, Ho Chi Minh City 12.1% and Da Nang 13.9%. A market growing that fast keeps importers hungry for new lines.
2. Consumer imports are small, so a good distributor is the whole game
Consumer goods were only 6.4% of Vietnam’s US$455.01 billion imports in 2025 (NSO via VCCI). Most of what households buy is made in Vietnam or assembled there. A foreign brand therefore needs an importer-distributor who holds the product registration, handles customs, sets the shelf price and sells into modern trade, traditional trade and e-commerce. Those importers walk the shows on this page because it is the fastest way for them to compare several brands in one day. Know which type of distributor you want before you fly: national or regional, modern trade or e-commerce, exclusive or not.
3. Zhejiang’s factories are already selling into ASEAN, and the fair brings them to Vietnam
Zhejiang exported about 4.19 trillion yuan in 2025, its first year above 4 trillion, and ASEAN was its largest trading partner at 869.07 billion yuan (Hangzhou Customs via China Daily, 20 January 2026). In the first half of 2025 the province supplied 15.9% of China’s exports (Hangzhou Customs via ehangzhou.gov.cn). Zhejiang–Vietnam trade was about US$20 billion in 2025, around 10% of Vietnam–China trade, according to the organisers (Vietnam News, 4 August 2026). For a Vietnamese importer, the fair puts hundreds of Zhejiang factories in Ho Chi Minh City for three days. For a Zhejiang manufacturer, it is the shortest route to a Vietnamese distributor.
4. Several shows are built around the origin of the goods, which helps the right exhibitor
Japan Expo Hanoi admits only Japanese products, so every visitor has come looking for Japanese goods: a ready audience for Japanese SMEs without an importer. The Zhejiang fair is the Chinese equivalent. IBTE, IEAE and IGHE are led by Chaoyu Expo, and IEAE Hanoi 2026 says it will “feature Chinese brands presenting products and designs developed specifically for the Vietnamese market” (Bizhub, 15 October 2026). For a European, American or Korean toy or appliance brand, that is a warning and an opportunity: you will stand among factory-direct suppliers, so sell safety certification, brand, design or after-sales service, not price.
5. The calendar splits north and south by product, so the city is chosen for you
Toys, baby goods, electronics and housewares meet in Hanoi in November; sports, cycling, office and home & garden meet in Ho Chi Minh City between June and December. If you need both regions, two shows a few months apart (Sport Show in August, IGHE in November) let you test the south first and then the north with what you learned.
How the consumer shows compare, and the alternatives
| Show | 2027 timing | Exhibitors mostly from | Visitors who matter | Fits a brand that wants… |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Vietnam Sport Show | 19–21 Aug, SECC | Mixed; many Chinese OEM/ODM makers | Sports retailers, gyms, distributors, federations | A distributor for fitness or outdoor lines |
| Vietnam Cycle Expo | 19–21 Aug, SECC | Parts and e-bike makers | Dealers, assemblers, parts buyers | Dealers for e-bikes or a parts customer |
| Zhejiang Export Fair | 19–21 Aug, SECC | Zhejiang Province | Vietnamese importers sourcing from China | Zhejiang makers seeking Vietnamese distributors |
| VietOffice / EduTech | 29 Jun – 1 Jul, SECC | Office, stationery, ed-tech suppliers | Office-supply distributors, schools, training centres | A stationery or ed-tech reseller |
| Japan Expo Hanoi | 29–31 Jul, I.C.E | Japanese brands only | Northern importers of Japanese goods, retailers, HoReCa | A Japanese brand’s first northern importer |
| IBTE / IEAE / IGHE | 18–21 Nov, VEC | Largely Chinese manufacturers | Distributors, retail chains, e-commerce and livestream sellers | Retail-chain or online-seller buyers in the north |
| Home & Garden + Vietnam Expo HCMC | 2–4 Dec, SECC | Mixed; national pavilions | Home-improvement retailers, developers, general importers | A distributor for décor or garden lines |
| Alternative: Global Sourcing Fair Vietnam (Global Sources) | 22–24 Apr (third-party listing) | Asian sourcing suppliers | Buyers sourcing from Vietnam and Asia | Buyers, not brands selling into Vietnam |
Cost profile: the August and December blocks give you two or three neighbouring floors for one trip, so your visitor badge does extra work. Japan Expo and VietOffice are smaller shows; that means fewer competing stands and more time per visitor, not a weaker show.
Who should exhibit, who should visit, who should not
| Your company | Best 2027 show | Exhibit or visit? | Why |

| E-bike or bicycle parts maker | Vietnam Cycle Expo | Exhibit | Assemblers and dealers concentrated on one floor |
| Zhejiang manufacturer | Zhejiang Export Fair | Exhibit | Provincial programme built for exactly this |
| Vietnamese or foreign buyer sourcing from China | Zhejiang Export Fair | Visit | Compare factories without travelling to China; see our sourcing guide |
| Stationery, office furniture, printers, interactive displays | VietOffice | Exhibit | Distributors and corporate buyers, fewer competing stands |
| Ed-tech with Vietnamese content or a reseller plan | EduTech Vietnam | Exhibit | Schools and training centres attend with VietOffice buyers |
| Japanese food, cosmetics or lifestyle brand | Japan Expo Hanoi | Exhibit | Visitors self-select for Japanese goods |
| Non-Japanese brand | Japan Expo Hanoi | Not eligible | The show admits Made-in-Japan or Made-by-Japan products only |
| Toy or baby brand with safety certification | IBTE | Exhibit | Mother-and-baby chains, pharmacies and online sellers attend |
| Premium appliance brand without a price story | IEAE | Visit first | Factory-direct competition is heavy; see the floor before you commit |
| Kitchenware, home organisation, gifts | IGHE | Exhibit | Supermarket and gift-shop buyers in the north |
| Home décor, garden, outdoor living | Home & Garden | Exhibit | Retailers and developers in the same week as Vietnam Expo HCMC |
| Brand whose product cannot yet be registered for sale | Any | Wait | Distributors will not sign a product they cannot sell |
How to take part in a consumer goods show in Vietnam, step by step
Counted back from opening day. For VietOffice (29 June 2027), month −8 is late October 2026.
- Month −9 to −7: choose the show and format. Wisematch matches your product and price position to one show and city and sends the floor plan. You choose a raw-space booth, a standard shell-scheme booth or a place in a shared or national pavilion.
- Month −7 to −6: sign and secure the position. Wisematch handles the application and contract. Aisle-front positions near entrances go first.
- Month −6 to −4: check registration rules. Food, cosmetics, toys, electrical appliances and some sports goods need Vietnamese registration or conformity marking before sale. The distributor usually files it, but you supply the documents; start the file now so a signed distributor can act quickly. Wisematch tells you which category rules apply.
- Month −4 to −2: build the importer list. Wisematch shortlists 20–40 importers and retail buyers in your category and invites them to your booth on a named day. Prepare a one-page Vietnamese summary: product, certifications, ex-works and CIF prices, minimum order, marketing support.
- Month −2: samples, visas, print. Wisematch arranges sample shipping and customs paperwork for display goods and the visa invitation letter where needed (see our business visa guide). Print bilingual price lists in USD with an Incoterm.
- Show days: Wisematch provides an interpreter and on-site support. Qualify every visitor: do they import directly, which channels do they sell to, do they carry a competing brand, who signs?
- Month +1 to +3: choose the partner. Shortlist three importers, visit their warehouses and two of their retail customers, then agree exclusivity only for a defined region and period. Wisematch can organise the visits and, once sales start, explain a representative office or trading company.
What a consumer goods booth in Vietnam will not do for you
It will not sell your product to Vietnamese consumers at scale, even on public days; retail sales at a booth are small and say little about whether a distributor can make money with your brand. No organiser or agent can promise a number of buyers or orders, and we do not. A booth will not register your product either, and many categories cannot be sold until they are registered. What three days on the floor can do is put you in front of importers and retail buyers who would take months to reach otherwise, and show you, by their questions, where your product sits on the Vietnamese price ladder. Don’t go to trade shows to hope — go to control probability.
