SECC events in 2027 run from HawaExpo (3–6 March) to the Vietnam Expo block (2–4 December), with a peak in August, when VINEXAD stages nine trade shows in three weeks. SECC is the Saigon Exhibition and Convention Center, 799 Nguyen Van Linh, Ho Chi Minh City. Written for foreign exhibitors and buyers picking a show.
Wisematch is an official sales agent of VINEXAD, the organiser of Vietfood & Beverage – ProPack, Vietnam Medipharm Expo, VILOG, Vietnam Sport Show, Vietnam Expo in HCMC and the other VINEXAD shows at SECC. International companies can book booths, national pavilion space and visitor programmes for these shows directly through Wisematch — one English-speaking contact on WhatsApp from enquiry to show day. For SECC shows run by other organisers, we organise visits and buyer meetings, and tell you plainly when we are not the right channel.
What Wisematch does for you
- Matches your product to the right SECC week and show, using the calendar and buyer profiles below.
- Books your booth, a place in a shared pavilion or a visitor programme, and sends the floor plan, hall and build-up schedule.
- Supports visa invitation letters where needed and coordinates sample shipping into Vietnam and to the hall.
- Prepares a list of Vietnamese buyers to meet, arranges an interpreter and stays with you on site.
- Helps you follow up in Vietnamese after the show, when most deals are actually made.

Search for “SECC” and you get concert listings, the Glasgow venue with the same initials and a lot of out-of-date aggregator pages. This page covers only trade exhibitions at the Saigon Exhibition and Convention Center in Ho Chi Minh City. It lists every 2027 exhibition we could confirm on an organiser’s site and marks the ones that so far appear only on third-party listings. Then it gets to the question our clients actually ask: which week at SECC is worth a flight for your product, and who will be walking the hall that week.

SECC events 2027: the month-by-month exhibition calendar
VINEXAD dates come from the VINEXAD 2027 calendar, cross-checked against each show’s website. Other organisers’ dates come from their own websites. Where only an aggregator lists a 2027 date, the status column says so. When we checked, SECC’s own calendar had published only two 2027 entries (VietOffice and EduTech).

Each VINEXAD show has its own guide: Vietfood & Beverage – ProPack 2027, Vietnam Medipharm Expo, VILOG, Vietnam Sport Show and Vietnam Expo in HCMC. The national list is in Trade Shows in Vietnam 2027.

How big are the trade shows at SECC?
A venue figure like “1 million visitors a year” tells you little about your own show. What matters is the size of the event you book. These are the figures VINEXAD’s show sites publish for their SECC editions. Some are labelled with a year, others are running counters on the site’s home page; we mark which is which.
| Show at SECC | Exhibitors | Booths | Countries | Visitors | Figure type |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Vietfood & Beverage – ProPack | 1,000+ | 1,400+ | 20+ | 39,000 | Site counters; 25,000 m² display area |
| Vietnam Expo in HCMC 2025 (23rd) | 800+ | 1,000+ | 20 | 15,000 (counter) | 2025 edition (Embassy of India); visitor figure is a site counter |
| VILOG 2026 | 340+ | 550 | 23 | 18,126 | 2026 edition, show site |
| Vietnam Sport Show | 400+ | 520 | 15 | 15,000+ expected | Show site, latest edition |
| Vietnam Medipharm Expo | 400 | 450 | 15 | 9,000 | Site counters |
| Viet ColdChain | 300+ | 400+ | 20+ | “20,000+ trade visitors” reach | Site counters |
| VietOffice 2026 | 130 | 160 | 8 | Not published | 2026 edition (VINEXAD) |
Sources: the official sites of each show and VINEXAD, checked 21–22 October 2026; Embassy of India in Hanoi listing for Vietnam Expo in HCMC 2025. Organisers count visitors in different ways (unique visitors, visits or registrations), so compare these numbers with care.
The spread is wide. Vietfood is a large, mixed food show where you will need a plan to be found. VietOffice is a small specialist show where every visitor is in your sector. Neither is better by default. A niche product often does better in a 160-booth show where it stands out than in a 1,400-booth show where it is one stand among many.
Why exhibit at SECC: five reasons the southern market is worth the trip
1. Ho Chi Minh City is the biggest market in Vietnam, and since 2025 it includes its industrial belt
On 1 July 2025 Ho Chi Minh City merged with Binh Duong and Ba Ria–Vung Tau. The enlarged city’s 2025 GRDP was estimated at VND 2.74 quadrillion (US$103.93 billion), 23.5% of national GDP, with FDI inflows expected at US$8.16 billion, up 21.1%, and retail sales up 13.5% (city People’s Committee, reported by VTV, December 2025). For an exhibitor, that means the factories of the former Binh Duong, the ports of Cai Mep–Thi Vai and the consumers of the old city are now one metropolitan market, and SECC is in the middle of it. A visitor from an industrial park north of the city can drive to Phu My Hung, walk your hall and be back at the plant the same day.
2. Vietnamese factories buy machinery and inputs on a very large scale
In the first nine months of 2026, Vietnam imported US$453.72 billion of goods, up 36.7%. Production materials were 94.1% of that, and machinery, equipment, tools and spare parts alone were 58.3% (National Statistics Office, via VNA, 3 October 2026). Most of SECC’s mid-year calendar is built for this demand: nonwovens lines at GENTEXH in May, workshop equipment at Automechanika in June, machine tools at MTA in July, robotics, cold chain and processing lines in August. If you sell equipment, components or services to factories, the person you need is a production or maintenance manager, and those people go to specialist shows rather than general fairs.
3. August gives you nine shows in three weeks in one building
VINEXAD runs three blocks at SECC in August 2027: medical, elderly care, logistics, cold chain and robotics on 5–7 August; food and packaging on 12–14 August; sport, cycling and the Zhejiang Export Fair on 19–21 August. That suits two kinds of company. A logistics or packaging supplier can exhibit at one block and walk the next, where its customers are exhibiting. A foreign buyer can cover food, packaging and cold chain in one trip. The catch is logistics: freight forwarders, stand builders and Phu My Hung hotel rooms are booked by several shows in a row, so plan earlier for August than for any other month.
4. Buyers sourcing from Vietnam come in March and April
Two SECC events are built for foreign buyers rather than for foreign sellers. HawaExpo (3–6 March) is a furniture export fair; its site quotes 25,000 buyers, 2,000 booths and 500 exhibitors. Global Sourcing Fair Vietnam (22–24 April) brings manufacturers from Vietnam and across Asia together with buyers from more than 130 countries, according to Global Sources. Vietnam’s wood and wood-product exports reached a record US$17.2 billion in 2025, about 55% of it to the United States (Vietnam Customs via VNA). Our guide to sourcing in Vietnam explains how to build a buying trip around these dates.
5. SECC is the most established venue in the south
SECC was designed by Nikken Sekkei after a 2005 competition, added Hall B in 2022 and says it hosts hundreds of events a year. Contractors, freight forwarders and organisers know its loading bays, power supply and move-in rules. That matters for a first-time exhibitor: fewer surprises at build-up, and a pool of local stand builders who have worked the halls many times. The trade-off is space. In peak weeks the venue is full, so the hall you get depends on how early you book.
SECC compared with VEC Hanoi and other options
| SECC, Ho Chi Minh City | VEC, Dong Anh, Hanoi | Exhibiting abroad with a Vietnam pavilion | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Main 2027 trade dates | March–April sourcing fairs; May–July specialist shows; nine VINEXAD shows in August; VINEXAD block 2–4 Dec | Vietnam Expo block 13–15 May; Food & Hospitality Hanoi 21–23 Sep; November blocks | Depends on the show |
| Focus | Southern market; industrial belt of the merged city; food, medical, logistics | Northern market; national fair, hardware, consumer goods | Selling Vietnamese goods out, not into Vietnam |
| Typical buyer | Factory managers, distributors, importers, hospital and food-chain buyers | Distributors and government-linked buyers in the north; electronics and industrial supply chains | Foreign importers |
| Cost profile | Hotel rooms nearby are limited in peak weeks; most visitors stay in Phu My Hung or the centre | Few hotels at the venue yet; most visitors stay in central Hanoi and drive out | Flights, freight and stand costs abroad |
Our VEC Hanoi events guide covers the northern venue. Several VINEXAD shows run in both cities, so choose the city by where your buyers are, not by where the building is newer.
Which SECC event fits you? Who should exhibit, who should visit, who should wait
| You are… | Look first at | Exhibit or visit? | Also consider |
|---|---|---|---|
| A foreign food or drink brand looking for an importer or distributor | Vietfood & Beverage – ProPack, 12–14 Aug | Exhibit, ideally in your country’s pavilion | The November food shows (2026 pattern) |
| A packaging or processing machinery supplier | ProPak Vietnam, 10–12 Mar; Vietfood ProPack zone, 12–14 Aug | Exhibit | Viet ColdChain, 5–7 Aug |
| A medical device, pharma or elderly-care company | Vietnam Medipharm Expo and VIREC, 5–7 Aug | Exhibit; product registration first | — |
| A logistics, warehousing or cold-chain provider | VILOG and Viet ColdChain, 5–7 Aug | Exhibit, then walk Vietfood the next week | — |
| A sports, fitness or bicycle brand | Vietnam Sport Show and Cycle Expo, 19–21 Aug | Exhibit | — |
| A hardware, tools, elevator or home-and-garden supplier | VINEXAD block, 2–4 Dec | Exhibit | The Hanoi editions at VEC, 13–15 May |
| A foreign buyer of furniture or consumer goods | HawaExpo, 3–6 Mar; Global Sourcing Fair, 22–24 Apr | Visit | Vietnam International Sourcing (September in 2026) |
| An auto-parts or garage-equipment maker | Automechanika HCMC, 16–18 Jun | Exhibit (Messe Frankfurt show) | — |
| A company with no Vietnamese-language material, no price list for distributors and no plan to follow up | None yet | Visit first, exhibit next year | A visitor programme with meetings |
The last row is not a joke. Every year we meet exhibitors who paid for a good booth and left with business cards and no next step. If you cannot yet answer who your Vietnamese buyer is and what they need to hear, a well-planned visit costs far less and tells you more. Don’t go to trade shows to hope — go to control probability.

SECC exhibitions from October to December: what the 2026 calendar shows
Most non-VINEXAD organisers have not yet published autumn 2027 dates. SECC’s 2026 calendar shows what the last quarter usually looks like. These are 2026 dates, given only to show the pattern.
- 21–23 October 2026: Vietnam Foodtech and Growtech (Hall B1), Vietstock Expo & Forum (Hall A).
- 29–31 October 2026: Coffee Expo Vietnam, VietFranchise, K-Beauty Expo Vietnam and Saigon Beauty Show.
- 4–6 November 2026: Vietwater, HVACR Vietnam and Vietnam Energy Week.
- 11–14 November 2026: SIAL Vietnam, Vietnam Foodexpo and Foodexpo International.
- 19–21 November 2026: SIUF (underwear) and CBME Vietnam (children, baby, maternity).
- 25–27 November 2026: Vietnam Medipharm – Vietmedicare, Vietpharma & Tech, Metal & Weld, Vietlab, Vinamac, Vinachem and Adhesives & Tape – Rubbertech.
- 3–5 December 2026: the VINEXAD block (Vietnam Expo in HCMC, Hardware & Hand Tools, Home & Garden, Elevator), then IGHE and IBTE (10–13 December) and Beauty Expo (24–26 December).
Watch for similar names. “Vietnam Medipharm Expo” is VINEXAD’s August show; “Vietnam Medipharm – Vietmedicare” was a separate November 2026 listing by another organiser. Before you sign, check that the contract names the organiser you meant to book with.
Is there an exhibition at SECC today?
The quickest reliable answer is the venue’s own event calendar, which lists each event with its dates, opening hours and hall. Most trade exhibitions at SECC open from 09:00 to 17:00; some close earlier on the last day (Automechanika 2027 closes at 15:00 on 18 June). Three habits save a wasted trip:
- Check the hall. SECC often runs two or three events at once in different halls.
- Check whether the day is trade-only. Many B2B shows admit trade visitors only, or open to the public on the last day.
- Pre-register. Most organisers offer free online visitor registration, and business-matching programmes usually work only for pre-registered visitors.
Concerts and consumer events also use the venue. If you are coming for business, filter for exhibitions and look for an organiser you recognise.
The halls at SECC: what “Hall A” and “Hall B” mean for your booth

Hall A is the original building; Hall B opened in April 2022 and connects to it. Organisers split them into sub-halls (A1, A2, B1, B2), which is why a show may be listed in “Hall B1” only. Automechanika Ho Chi Minh City 2027 books 18,100 m² across Halls A1, A2 and B1 plus outdoor space; Home & Garden 2026 used Hall A2 alone.
- Heavy machines: both halls are rated to 5,000 kg/m², but Hall B’s rating is for static exhibits. If your machine runs or vibrates on the stand, it should go in Hall A; ask before the floor plan is fixed.
- Co-located shows: when two shows share dates they usually take different halls. Ask whether visitors move freely between them on one badge.
- Loading: container entrances on Nguyen Van Linh Boulevard lead straight to the loading bay, according to SECC. Your forwarder needs the move-in slot.
- Peak weeks: when a show needs more than the two permanent buildings, ask what the extra halls are and how they are cooled.
How to get to SECC, and hotels near SECC
SECC sits in Phu My Hung, the planned district in the south of the city, next to the Phu My Bridge. Older documents and map apps may still say “Tan Phu Ward, District 7”, the name before the 2025 administrative merger. Drivers know it as “SECC”.
| From | How | Time given by SECC | Our note |
|---|---|---|---|
| Tan Son Nhat International Airport | Taxi or ride-hailing | About 45 minutes | Allow more at evening peak and on the first morning of a large show |
| City centre (former District 1) | Taxi or car | About 20 minutes | River crossings slow down at peak times |
| City bus | Routes 34, 68, 102 and 139 | A few minutes’ walk from the stops | SECC points to busmap.vn for live routes |
| Cat Lai port (exhibits) | Truck, via Phu My Bridge | 11 km | Relevant for machinery shipped by sea |
We name only hotels that an organiser or the venue lists in its own visitor information. Automechanika Ho Chi Minh City’s arrival page recommends Novotel Living Saigon South and ibis Saigon South (each about five minutes’ walk), MerPerle Crystal Palace (about seven minutes by taxi) and Saigon Hotel on Dong Du Street in the centre (about 19 minutes by taxi). We have no commercial relationship with any of them. Phu My Hung has fewer rooms than the centre, and in the three August weeks several shows compete for them; a centre hotel with a fixed morning car is a sensible fallback.
How to exhibit at an SECC trade show, step by step
This timeline counts back from the show date. It assumes a VINEXAD show, where Wisematch handles the booking directly; for other organisers the steps are the same, but the contract is with that organiser.
- Eight to ten months out: choose the show and the format. Use the fit table above. Decide between a raw-space booth, a standard shell-scheme booth or a place in your country’s pavilion. Wisematch sends last year’s exhibitor and visitor profile, the floor plan and the available positions.
- Six to eight months out: sign and fix the hall. If your exhibits are heavy, run on the stand or need power, water or compressed air, say so before the position is confirmed. We check the hall and the technical limits with VINEXAD for you.
- Four to six months out: product rules. Food, cosmetics, medical devices, some electrical goods and anything with a health claim may need registration or import paperwork before samples can enter Vietnam. We tell you what applies to your product and who can file it.
- Three to four months out: visas, hotels, freight. Most visitors can use Vietnam’s e-visa; where a sponsored visa is needed we support the invitation letter. Book Phu My Hung hotels now, especially for March and August. We connect you with a forwarder that knows SECC’s move-in rules. See our business visa guide for trade fairs.
- Six to eight weeks out: meetings. Send us your ideal buyer profile. We build a list of Vietnamese importers, distributors or factory buyers and invite them to named meetings at your stand. Prepare Vietnamese-language product sheets and a price structure for distributors.
- Show days: one point of contact. Wisematch is on site for interpretation, badge and stand issues, and introductions.
- Within a week after the show: follow-up. Send each qualified contact a written offer in Vietnamese. We help with the follow-up calls, because many Vietnamese buyers decide after the show, not at it.
What a booth at SECC will not do for you
A good venue does not bring buyers to your stand. SECC provides halls, loading bays and parking; the organiser brings the visitor flow; you bring the reason to stop. A booth will not register your product, translate your price list or follow up for you. No organiser or agent can promise a number of buyers or orders at an SECC exhibition, and we do not. What you take home depends on the meetings you book before you arrive and the follow-up after you leave. Not empty promises — we measure ourselves by real deals.
Frequently asked questions about SECC events
Where is SECC in Ho Chi Minh City?
SECC, the Saigon Exhibition and Convention Center, is at 799 Nguyen Van Linh, Tan My Ward, in the Phu My Hung area of southern Ho Chi Minh City, formerly District 7. The venue says it is about 20 minutes from the city centre and about 45 minutes from Tan Son Nhat International Airport by car, and 11 km from Cat Lai port.
What are the main SECC events in 2027?
Confirmed 2027 exhibitions include HawaExpo (3–6 March), ProPak Vietnam (10–12 March), Global Sourcing Fair Vietnam (22–24 April), Automechanika Ho Chi Minh City (16–18 June), VietOffice and EduTech (29 June – 1 July) and nine VINEXAD shows in August, including Vietfood & Beverage – ProPack on 12–14 August. VINEXAD’s Vietnam Expo block follows on 2–4 December.
How do I book a booth at an SECC trade show?
For VINEXAD shows at SECC, such as Vietfood & Beverage – ProPack, Vietnam Medipharm Expo, VILOG or Vietnam Expo in HCMC, book through Wisematch, an official sales agent of VINEXAD. Send your product, target buyers and preferred booth size on WhatsApp. For shows by other organisers, Wisematch can arrange a visit or delegation and advise you before you sign with that organiser.
How do I check what is on at SECC today?
Use the event calendar on secc.com.vn/events. It lists each exhibition with dates, opening hours and the hall it uses. SECC often hosts two or three events at once, so check the hall and whether the day is open to trade visitors only before you travel, and pre-register online where the organiser offers it.
Which hotels are near SECC?
Automechanika Ho Chi Minh City’s visitor page recommends Novotel Living Saigon South and ibis Saigon South, each about five minutes’ walk from SECC, and MerPerle Crystal Palace, about seven minutes by taxi. Rooms in Phu My Hung fill quickly in August, when SECC hosts nine VINEXAD shows in three weeks, so book when you confirm the booth.
Is SECC or VEC Hanoi better for my product?
Choose by buyer, not building. SECC serves the southern market, including the industrial belt of the merged Ho Chi Minh City, and hosts the large August cluster of food, medical and logistics shows. VEC in Hanoi hosts Vietnam Expo in May and serves northern buyers. Several VINEXAD shows run in both cities, so you can pick the edition nearest your customers.
