In short: Industrial trade shows in Vietnam 2027 come in three trips. In May, Hardware & Hand Tools, Elevator Expo and ROBOTEX run at VEC Hanoi. In August, VILOG, Viet ColdChain and ROBOTEX run at SECC Ho Chi Minh City, with Vietfood & Beverage – ProPack a week later. In December, Hardware and Elevator return to SECC. The buyers are factory, logistics and construction teams.
Wisematch is an official sales agent of VINEXAD, the organiser of Vietnam Hardware & Hand Tools Expo, Vietnam Elevator Expo, ROBOTEX, VILOG, Viet ColdChain and Vietfood & Beverage – ProPack. International companies can book booths, national pavilion space and visitor programmes for these shows directly through Wisematch — one English-speaking contact on WhatsApp from enquiry to show day.
What Wisematch does for you
- Matches your product to the right show and city, then secures the booth, the contract and the floor-plan position.
- Offers a place inside a shared or national pavilion if a full booth is more than you need for a first test.
- Handles the visa invitation letter, temporary import of display machines, and sample shipping with the official forwarder.
- Builds a buyer meeting list (FDI plant managers, 3PLs, distributors, installers) and books meetings before you fly.
- Provides an interpreter and on-site support, then helps with follow-up visits after the show.
ProPak Vietnam (March) is run by Informa Markets, not VINEXAD. We cover it here so you can compare, and we can plan a visit, but we are not its sales agent.

The six industrial shows: facts, scale and who walks the floor
Vietnam Hardware & Hand Tools Expo 2027 (Hanoi in May, HCMC in December)

The Vietnam Hardware & Hand Tools Expo (VHHE) is VINEXAD’s specialist show for hand and power tools, hardware and construction accessories, fasteners and occupational safety equipment. It ran ten editions in Ho Chi Minh City between 2016 and 2025, according to the organiser, before adding Hanoi in 2026. People searching “Vietnam hardware fair 2026” or “hardware and hand tools expo Vietnam” mean this show.
- Hanoi, 13–15 May 2027, VEC. Confirmed on hn.hardwaretools.com.vn. The 2026 Hanoi show report lists 300 exhibitors, 400 booths, 15 countries and territories and 12,000 visitors. That debut ran alongside Vietnam Expo and the Elevator Expo at VEC on 8–11 April 2026.
- Ho Chi Minh City, 2–4 December 2027, SECC. The 2026 HCMC edition (the 11th) runs 3–5 December 2026 with about 380 exhibitors from 15 countries and territories and nearly 450 booths expected (Bizhub, 16 October 2026).
- Visitors: the 2025 HCMC edition drew nearly 16,770 trade visitors from more than 60 countries and territories (same report): hardware distributors, construction contractors, factory maintenance teams and retail chains.
- Programme: in 2026 the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI) runs a supporting-industry business-matching session inside the expo for importers, distributors, agents, retail chains and buyer delegations, plus a visit to an industrial park.
- Not to be confused with METAL & WELD, a different hardware and electric-tools exhibition on SECC’s calendar for 25–27 November 2026, run by another organiser.
Vietnam Elevator Expo 2027: Hanoi in May, HCMC in December

The Vietnam Elevator Expo is organised by VINEXAD with the Vietnam Elevator Association (VNEA), under the Ministry of Industry and Trade. It covers lifts, escalators, components, drives, door systems, controls and building technology. Its official exhibitor wall shows component names such as Wittur and Ziehl-Abegg alongside Vietnamese installers, which tells you who is on the floor: global component makers selling to Vietnamese assemblers and installers.
- Hanoi, 13–15 May 2027, VEC Hall H2. Confirmed on elevatorexpo.vn.
- HCMC, 2–4 December 2027, SECC. The 2026 HCMC edition runs 3–5 December 2026, the fifth in the city.
- 2026 Hanoi debut (8–11 April 2026, VEC) included a seminar on lift-cabin design with Vietnamese lacquer and a cooperation announcement between the Vietnam Institute of Elevator Engineering Application and Germany’s INTEC GmbH on European-standard lift controls (Bizhub, 3 April 2026).
- Scale: 120 booths on the site, without a year. No visitor figure is published; Wisematch requests the show report from VINEXAD for serious enquiries.
Search interest in “vietnam elevator” runs at 100–1,000 a month both from Vietnam and worldwide (Google Keyword Planner, October 2026). The term “elevator expo” brings up India and China shows first, so search the Vietnamese name if you are comparing.
ROBOTEX Vietnam 2027: robotics and smart factories
ROBOTEX (Vietnam Robotics & Smart Factory Expo) is new. Its first edition ran 30 July – 1 August 2026 at SECC inside VILOG 2026, co-organised by the Vietnam Logistics Business Association (VLA) and VINEXAD under the Ministry of Industry and Trade, with support from the Agency of Foreign Trade (Báo Đầu tư, 15 July 2026). The scope is the operating system of a modern plant: industrial and collaborative robots, AGVs and AMRs, AI vision, MES and WMS software, smart warehouses and factory automation.
- 2027: 13–15 May at VEC Hanoi and 5–7 August at SECC.
- Scale: the site’s counters (20 countries, 300 companies, 350 booths, 8,500 visitors) went up before the first edition opened, so read them as targets. No post-show results had been published when we checked in October 2026.
- A search note: “robotex” is confused with “robotech” (the anime) and “robotaxi”, and with Robotex International in Estonia and Cyprus. Search “ROBOTEX Vietnam” or “triển lãm robot”.
VILOG 2027 and logistics companies in Vietnam
VILOG, the Vietnam International Logistics Exhibition, returns on 5–7 August 2027 at SECC under the theme “Logistics xanh – Nền tảng phát triển bền vững” (green logistics as the foundation of sustainable development). VINEXAD organises it with the VLA. Official site: vilog.vn.
- 2026 results (vilog.vn): 18,126 visitors; 550 booths from more than 340 companies representing 23 countries and territories. Older homepage counters and a pre-show press figure (450 companies, 22 countries, Báo Đầu tư) differ; we use the post-show narrative.
- Sectors: transport and forwarding; smart warehousing and cold chain; materials-handling machinery; logistics technology; industrial-park and seaport infrastructure.
- Who exhibited in 2026: the official gallery shows Saigon Newport, Long An Port, ITL, Interlog, IATA, CIMC, XCMG, Eurorack and Hyundai Thanh Cong among others; Báo Đầu tư named Gemadept, Transimex, Vinafco, Bee Logistics, NPL Logistics and Daifuku Intralogistics Vietnam.
- Programme 2026: an ASEAN logistics forum, a VLA session with the Vietnam Fruit and Vegetables Association (Vinafruit), and business matching.
If you are researching logistics companies in Vietnam, this is the one floor where most of the large forwarders, ports and 3PLs stand side by side. Readers of Vietnam Logistics Review (a VILOG media partner; 100–1,000 searches a month in Vietnam) will recognise many names.
Viet ColdChain 2027: cold chain logistics in Vietnam
Viet ColdChain (Triển lãm Quốc tế Chuỗi lạnh Việt Nam) runs 5–7 August 2027 at SECC, co-located with VILOG and ROBOTEX. It covers cold storage, refrigeration, insulated panels, reefer transport and temperature monitoring. Its site lists 300+ companies, 400+ booths and 20+ countries and says the show reaches “20,000+ trade visitors”; these appear to be combined VILOG–ColdChain figures without a year. “Viet coldchain” draws 100–1,000 searches a month from Vietnam and worldwide; “cold chain logistics” draws 1,000–10,000 worldwide (Keyword Planner, October 2026).
ProPak Vietnam or Vietfood & Beverage – ProPack? Two different packaging shows
Searches for “propak vietnam” and “propak” mix up two events at SECC. They have different organisers, dates and audiences.
| ProPak Vietnam | Vietfood & Beverage – ProPack Vietnam | |
|---|---|---|
| Organiser | Informa Markets | VINEXAD (UFI-approved event) |
| 2027 dates | 10–12 March 2027 | 12–14 August 2027 (HCMC); 3–6 November 2027 (Hanoi) |
| Focus | Processing and packaging technology, materials | Food and drink products plus processing and packaging machinery |
| Edition | “20 years” in 2027 | 31st HCMC edition |
| Reported scale | “Over 9,600 trade visitors” | 1,400 booths, 1,000+ exhibitors, 20+ countries, 39,000 visitors (site) |
| Best for | Machinery makers who want a machinery-only audience in spring | Machinery makers who want to meet food exporters and processors, who exhibit there themselves |
ProPak Asia 2027 in Bangkok is a third event; third-party listings give 9–12 June 2027, which we could not confirm on the organiser’s site.

Why exhibit at an industrial trade show in Vietnam in 2027
An industrial booth in Vietnam is worth the trip for one reason above all: the people who sign purchase orders for machines, racking, cold rooms and lifts come to these floors in numbers you cannot reach by email in three days. Here is the evidence, and what each point means for your stand.
1. Vietnam’s factories are importing machinery at more than US$60 billion a year
Vietnam imported more than US$61 billion of machinery, equipment, tools and spare parts in 2025, up 24.8% on 2024, and US$27.8 billion in January–May 2026, up 21.6% year on year (Vietnam Customs via VOV, 30 June 2026). Machinery, equipment and parts made up 52.7% of the country’s US$455.01 billion import bill in 2025 (National Statistics Office via VCCI). Few emerging markets buy equipment at this pace. The shows on this page are where the buyers of that equipment come to compare suppliers.
2. Your buyer is usually a foreign-invested factory, and it is on the floor
Foreign-invested (FDI) companies bought 69.43% of imported machinery in January–May 2026, or US$19.3 billion (Vietnam Customs via VOV). Many are Korean, Japanese, Chinese, Taiwanese or Singaporean-owned, and they send plant managers, maintenance engineers and regional procurement staff to VILOG, ROBOTEX and the hardware show. At a booth you meet them in a morning. Cold-calling the same people takes months, and often ends at a gatekeeper. Know before you go which nationality of factory you are targeting: a Japanese plant manager and a Chinese one ask for different proof.
3. New factories keep arriving, and they are buying now
In 2025, 4,054 new FDI projects were licensed, and manufacturing took US$9.8 billion, 56.5% of newly registered capital (NSO via Vietnam News, 6 January 2026). A factory licensed in 2025 fits out in 2026 and 2027: racking, forklifts, compressors, tools, lifts, cold rooms, automation. That fit-out window is exactly when the May, August and December blocks happen. Suppliers who wait two years usually find the shortlists already written.
4. You are pricing against China, so the show is where you prove the difference
China supplied 63.49% of Vietnam’s machinery imports in January–May 2026 (US$17.65 billion); Japan was second and Korea third, while imports from ASEAN rose 54.78% to US$1.72 billion and from the EU reached nearly US$1.54 billion (Vietnam Customs via VOV). A non-Chinese supplier wins on something other than unit price: a certification the buyer’s own customer demands, local service engineers, faster spare parts, a lower total cost of ownership. Those arguments are hard to make in a PDF and easy to make next to a working machine. That is what a booth is for.
5. Logistics costs are national policy, which pulls buyers and officials to VILOG and Viet ColdChain
Logistics costs are about 16% of GDP, down from more than 20% in 2014, against a government target of 11–12%; Vietnam has more than 34,000 logistics firms and ranked 43rd of 139 in the World Bank Logistics Performance Index 2023 (Government News portal, 30 November 2025). Cold chain has its own driver: Vietnam exported US$11.29 billion of seafood (NSO via VCCI) and US$8.56 billion of fruit and vegetables in 2025 (Vietnam Customs via Vietnam News). Every container of shrimp or durian needs a cold room, a reefer and a temperature log. The exporters who buy those services exhibit at Vietfood & Beverage – ProPack one week after Viet ColdChain, so you can sell on 5–7 August and visit your prospects’ own booths on 12–14 August.
6. Three trips cover the whole industrial year
Laid out by date, the calendar collapses into three blocks: VEC Hanoi, 13–15 May (Hardware, Elevator, ROBOTEX, plus Vietnam Expo’s machinery zone); SECC, 5–14 August (VILOG, Viet ColdChain, ROBOTEX, then Vietfood & Beverage – ProPack); and SECC, 2–4 December (Hardware, Elevator, Vietnam Expo HCMC). One booth per block, with a visitor badge for the shows next door, covers several buyer groups per flight. That cuts the cost per qualified meeting more than any discount could.
How Vietnam’s industrial shows compare with the alternatives
If you sell industrial products into Southeast Asia, you are probably also weighing a regional show or a single large event. This is how the options line up for a supplier whose target is Vietnamese buyers.
| Option | 2027 timing | Focus | Main buyer type | Cost profile |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| May block, VEC Hanoi (Hardware, Elevator, ROBOTEX, Vietnam Expo) | 13–15 May | Tools, lifts, automation, general industry | Northern FDI electronics belt, state construction groups, distributors | One trip, four floors; new venue with room to grow |
| August block, SECC (VILOG, Viet ColdChain, ROBOTEX, Vietfood – ProPack) | 5–14 August | Logistics, cold chain, warehouse automation, food machinery | 3PLs, ports, food and seafood exporters, southern FDI plants | Two weeks in one city; hotels near SECC fill early |
| December block, SECC (Hardware, Elevator, Vietnam Expo HCMC) | 2–4 December | Tools, lifts, construction, general trade | Southern contractors, developers, hardware distributors | One trip, three floors, before Tet budgets close |
| ProPak Vietnam (Informa), SECC | 10–12 March | Processing and packaging technology | Food and beverage manufacturers | Single-sector show; no co-located food exhibitors |
| ProPak Asia, Bangkok | June (third-party listings) | Processing and packaging, regional | Regional buyers, fewer Vietnamese decision-makers per hour | Larger regional show; travel to Thailand for Vietnamese buyers |
| Vietnam Expo national pavilion only | 13–15 May / 2–4 December | Multi-sector | Government, general importers, FDI procurement | Shared pavilion keeps cost and set-up simple |
The point of the comparison: a regional show gives you breadth, while a Vietnamese specialist show gives you depth in one market. If Vietnam is the market you want, the specialist show is where you meet the person who signs.
Who should exhibit, who should visit, who should wait
| Your company | Best 2027 show | Exhibit or visit? | Why |
|---|---|---|---|
| Hand and power tools, fasteners, safety equipment | Hardware & Hand Tools Hanoi (May) or HCMC (Dec) | Exhibit | Distributors and contractors walk this floor looking for new lines |
| Lift components, drives, doors, controllers | Elevator Expo Hanoi (May) | Exhibit | VNEA members are the installers and assemblers you would otherwise find one by one |
| Complete lift brand seeking a distributor | Elevator Expo HCMC (Dec) | Exhibit or visit first | Southern high-rise projects; meet installers before committing |
| Industrial robots, cobots, AGV/AMR, machine vision | ROBOTEX HCMC (Aug) | Exhibit | Shares the floor with VILOG’s 3PLs and warehouse operators |
| Racking, forklifts, WMS software | VILOG (Aug) | Exhibit | Ports, 3PLs and distribution centres are both exhibitors and buyers |
| Freight, forwarding, port or industrial-park services | VILOG (Aug) | Exhibit | Exporters and FDI factories reviewing 3PL contracts visit |
| Cold rooms, refrigeration, reefer trucks, panels | Viet ColdChain (Aug) + walk Vietfood | Exhibit | Seafood and fruit exporters are your buyers and exhibit a week later |
| Food processing and packaging machinery | Vietfood & Beverage – ProPack (Aug) | Exhibit | Meet processors at their own booths, see their lines and volumes |
| Foreign buyer sourcing Vietnamese industrial parts | Vietnam Expo + factory visits | Visit | The calendar is mostly an import calendar; plan factory visits alongside |
| Supplier with no service, spare-parts or distributor plan for Vietnam | Any | Visit first, exhibit later | FDI buyers rarely shortlist a supplier who cannot service locally |
| Supplier needing Vietnamese conformity certification not yet started | Any | Wait or visit | Buyers will ask for delivery dates you cannot yet promise |
Hanoi (VEC) or Ho Chi Minh City (SECC) for an industrial show?
Three shows run in both cities: Hardware & Hand Tools, Elevator Expo and ROBOTEX. The product is the same; the visitors are not. Both venues take heavy exhibits. The Vietnam Exhibition Center (VEC) in Dong Anh, opened in August 2025, has about 93,000 m² across ten halls in its Kim Quy building, with floors rated up to five tonnes per square metre (operator; Tuoi Tre News). SECC has two column-free halls with a 76 m span, a 5,000 kg/m² floor load (Hall B for static loads, as it sits above a basement) and a 22,000 m² outdoor area; Cat Lai port is 11 km away (SECC).
- Choose Hanoi (May) if your buyers are electronics and component factories in Bac Ninh, Bac Giang, Thai Nguyen or Hai Phong, state construction groups, or ministries running infrastructure projects.
- Choose Ho Chi Minh City (August or December) if your buyers sit in Binh Duong, Dong Nai or Long An, at the southern ports, or in food, seafood and logistics.
- Do both only if you already have a distributor in one region and want the other. Otherwise, pick the city where your top ten target factories are.
Our venue guides cover access, hotels and hall layouts: VEC Hanoi events 2027 and SECC events 2027.
How to exhibit at an industrial trade show in Vietnam, step by step
Counted back from opening day. For the May 2027 Hanoi block, month −7 is October 2026, so you are already inside the window.
- Month −9 to −7: choose the show, the city and the format. Wisematch compares the shows against your product and target buyers, sends the latest floor plan. You decide between a raw-space booth (you build), a standard booth (shell scheme supplied), or a place in a shared or national pavilion.
- Month −7 to −6: sign and secure the position. Wisematch handles the application and contract with the organiser. Corners and main-aisle positions go first, particularly at VEC, where shows are still growing.
- Month −6 to −4: check product and machine rules. Some electrical and lifting equipment needs Vietnamese conformity certification before sale; display machines enter under temporary-import procedures and must be re-exported or cleared afterwards. Wisematch connects you with the official forwarder and checks which documents apply.
- Month −4 to −3: plan the stand technically. Confirm exhibit weight, door sizes, crane or forklift access, three-phase power, compressed air and water. These are ordered and billed separately; Wisematch collects the forms and deadlines for you. Moving robots and lifts need guarding and organiser approval.
- Month −3 to −1: build the meeting list. Wisematch shortlists FDI plants, 3PLs, distributors or installers that fit your product and invites them by name. Prepare a bilingual (English and Vietnamese) one-page summary with specifications, certifications and lead times.
- Month −2: visas and travel. Most visitors use an e-visa; 12 nationalities enter visa-free for 45 days for any purpose. Wisematch provides the exhibitor confirmation and an invitation letter where needed. See our business visa guide for trade fairs.
- Show days: bring an engineer who can answer technical questions. Wisematch provides an interpreter and on-site support. Qualify each contact by what they buy, how much a year and who signs.
- Month +1 to +2: follow up. Send a Vietnamese-language quotation within a week, then revisit shortlisted factories within eight weeks. Wisematch can arrange the visits and, if sales start, explain options such as a representative office or a trading company.
Don’t go to trade shows to hope — go to control probability. The meetings booked in month −3 decide most of what you take home.
What an industrial booth in Vietnam will not do for you
A booth will not produce a purchase order on the spot. Industrial buying in Vietnam runs through technical evaluation, a trial, a quotation round and, at FDI plants, approval from a regional or head office. Nobody honest can promise you a number of buyers or leads, and we do not. A booth also will not solve service: if you cannot install, maintain or hold spare parts in Vietnam, many buyers will not shortlist you, however good the machine. What three days on the floor give you is access to plant managers, engineers and distributors who would take months to reach otherwise, and a clear read, from their questions, of how your price and lead time compare.
Frequently asked questions
What are the main industrial trade shows in Vietnam in 2027?
Hardware & Hand Tools, Elevator Expo and ROBOTEX at VEC Hanoi on 13–15 May 2027; VILOG, Viet ColdChain and ROBOTEX at SECC Ho Chi Minh City on 5–7 August; Vietfood & Beverage – ProPack at SECC on 12–14 August; and Hardware and Elevator again at SECC on 2–4 December. Informa’s ProPak Vietnam runs separately on 10–12 March 2027 at SECC.
How do I book a booth at VILOG, ROBOTEX or the other industrial shows?
Through Wisematch, an official sales agent of VINEXAD, which organises Hardware & Hand Tools, Elevator Expo, ROBOTEX, VILOG, Viet ColdChain and Vietfood & Beverage – ProPack. Send us your product, target buyers and preferred booth size on WhatsApp (+84 354 624 102). We reply the same working day with booth options, the floor plan and the next steps.
When is ROBOTEX Vietnam 2027?
ROBOTEX runs twice in 2027: 13–15 May 2027 at VEC in Hanoi and 5–7 August 2027 at SECC in Ho Chi Minh City, alongside VILOG. The 2026 edition ran 30 July – 1 August 2026 at SECC.
When is Viet ColdChain 2027?
Viet ColdChain 2027 runs 5–7 August 2027 at SECC, 799 Nguyen Van Linh, Ho Chi Minh City, alongside VILOG and ROBOTEX. It covers cold storage, refrigeration, insulated panels and reefer transport. Vietfood & Beverage – ProPack follows on 12–14 August at the same venue, which lets cold-chain suppliers meet food exporters at their own booths.
Is ProPak Vietnam the same as Vietfood & Beverage – ProPack?
No. ProPak Vietnam is organised by Informa Markets and runs 10–12 March 2027 at SECC, focused on processing and packaging technology. Vietfood & Beverage – ProPack is a VINEXAD show combining food products and packaging machinery, on 12–14 August 2027 at SECC and 3–6 November 2027 at I.C.E Hanoi. Wisematch sells booths for the VINEXAD show.
How big was VILOG 2026?
According to vilog.vn, VILOG 2026 had 550 booths from more than 340 companies representing 23 countries and territories, and 18,126 visitors. Older counters on the same site and a pre-show press report give lower or different figures. For a booking decision, Wisematch asks VINEXAD for the final show report and the visitor breakdown by job title.
Can a foreign company exhibit without a Vietnamese entity?
Yes. Foreign companies book booths directly through Wisematch or within a national pavilion without a local company. You will need a local partner later for sales, installation or service, which is why many industrial exhibitors combine the show with a distributor search or a representative office.
