ROBOTEX Vietnam, the Vietnam International Robotics & Smart Factory Expo organised by VINEXAD, is a B2B show for industrial robots, AGV/AMR, AI vision, MES/WMS and warehouse automation. It has two editions in 2027: 13–15 May at VEC Hanoi and 5–7 August at SECC Ho Chi Minh City, alongside VILOG. It suits automation suppliers looking for Vietnamese factory and warehouse buyers.
Wisematch is an official sales agent of VINEXAD, the organiser of ROBOTEX Vietnam. International companies can book booths, national pavilion space and visitor programmes for ROBOTEX Vietnam directly through Wisematch — one English-speaking contact on WhatsApp from enquiry to show day.
What Wisematch does for you
- Tells you whether the May (Hanoi) or August (HCMC) edition fits your buyers, then books the booth and handles the contract, floor plan and exhibitor manual.
- Offers a place on a shared stand if you want to test Vietnam before taking your own booth.
- Supplies the exhibitor confirmation for your team’s e-visa and explains the sponsored-visa route if it is needed.
- Coordinates freight and temporary import of demo robots, and checks power, compressed air and floor load with the venue.
- Builds an invitation list of FDI plants, integrators and 3PLs, books interpreters for show days, and helps you follow up afterwards.

Robotex 2025, Robotex 2026, ROBOTEX Vietnam: which one is this?
Search for “robotex” and most results are not about Vietnam. Three different things share the name or the theme:
- ROBOTEX Vietnam is the business-to-business trade fair on this page. VINEXAD organises it, it targets factory and warehouse buyers, and its site is robotex.vn.
- Robotex International is a robotics festival and competition founded in Estonia, aimed largely at students and schools, with national events from Cyprus to India. It has no link to the Vietnamese fair. Most global interest in “robotex 2025”, “robotex company” or “robotex cartoon” points to it or to unrelated brands, so do not read that search volume as demand for the Vietnam show.
- Vietnam Smart Factory Expo (VSE) is a separate smart-manufacturing exhibition run by the National Innovation Center (NIC) with Singapore-based Uninet Exhibition. Its 2026 edition was at SECC on 24–26 June 2026. We compare the two below.
There was no “ROBOTEX Vietnam 2025”. The fair launched in 2026. If a listing shows a 2025 edition, it is mixing up the names.
ROBOTEX 2026: what the first edition showed
ROBOTEX Vietnam 2026 ran from 30 July to 1 August 2026 at SECC, Ho Chi Minh City, inside the 4th Vietnam International Logistics Exhibition (VILOG 2026). Báo Đầu tư (15 July 2026) reported that it was held under the direction of the Ministry of Industry and Trade, supported by the Agency of Foreign Trade, and co-organised by VLA and VINEXAD.
The organiser’s idea was not a hall of separate robot arms. It set out to show how a modern factory runs end to end: robots and cobots on the line, AGVs and AMRs moving material, AI vision checking quality, and MES and WMS software linking production with the warehouse. Tạp chí Kinh tế Tài chính described it as presenting “the operating ecosystem of a modern factory” rather than single machines.
The audience came largely from the host show. Reporting on opening day (30 July 2026), Tạp chí Công Thương said VILOG 2026 gathered 450 companies from 22 countries and territories on more than 550 booths, showing warehouse robots, electric forklifts, automation systems and cold-chain equipment, and expected more than 25,000 visits across the cluster. The opening was attended by the Ministry of Industry and Trade, FIATA, AFFA and VLA. Named logistics participants included Gemadept, ITL, Transimex, Vinafco, Bee Logistics and Long An International Port; warehouse-robot and forklift brands named in the preview included LIBIAO Robotics, MiMA Forklift, Hangcha and XCMG (Tạp chí Công Thương, 16 July 2026).

What has not been published
No ROBOTEX-only post-show report exists yet. The robotex.vn homepage shows four undated counters (20 countries and territories, 300 companies, 350 booths, 8,500 visitors). The English version of the site shows near-identical figures next to text copied from the Hardware & Hand Tools Expo, so we treat them as template placeholders, not ROBOTEX results. When you book through Wisematch, we ask VINEXAD for the 2026 ROBOTEX exhibitor list and the 2027 sign-ups so you can see who you will stand next to.
Why exhibit at ROBOTEX Vietnam: five reasons for automation suppliers
A robotics fair only pays if factories and warehouses are spending, and if the right people walk the floor. Here is the case, with the numbers behind it.
1. Electronics, Vietnam’s largest export, is automation-heavy
Computers, electronics and components earned US$107.75 billion in exports in 2025, up 48.4% and about 23% of all exports (Vietnam Customs via Vietnam News, January 2026). Electronics assembly is among the most automated industries anywhere, and its supply chain (SMT lines, testing, packaging, intralogistics) keeps adding capacity in the northern provinces around Bac Ninh, Thai Nguyen and Hai Phong.
2. New foreign plants specify automation from day one
Disbursed FDI reached US$27.6 billion in 2025, the highest in five years, with 4,054 new projects (NSO via Vietnam News). FDI firms produced 77.3% of exports, and machinery and equipment made up 52.7% of US$455 billion in imports (NSO via VCCI). In plain terms: Vietnam already imports most of its production equipment, and new plants decide their automation in their first years. A robot supplier is competing for a budget that exists.
3. Logistics buyers arrive in volume — in the same hall
The August edition sits inside VILOG, which the Ministry of Industry and Trade’s journal described in 2026 as Vietnam’s largest logistics exhibition to date. For AGV, AMR, ASRS, sorting and WMS suppliers, that means 3PLs, distribution centres, ports and cold-storage operators come to you. VILOG 2027 targets 490 companies from 25+ countries on 600+ booths and 25,000+ visits (vilog.vn). You will not find that concentration of warehouse decision-makers at a general robotics show.
4. Policy backs automation, and buyers know it
The Politburo’s Resolution 57-NQ/TW (December 2024) makes science, technology, innovation and digital transformation national priorities, and both ROBOTEX’s organisers and the NIC cite it. The Ministry of Industry and Trade also used the VILOG 2026 opening to point to the 2025–2035 logistics development strategy and smart, low-emission warehousing. Policy does not pay for your robot, but it gives plant managers a reason to put automation on this year’s budget.
5. Early-mover visibility in a young show
ROBOTEX is in its second year. That is a risk (no long exhibitor history) and an opportunity: early exhibitors get better positions, more attention from press and organiser programmes, and a chance to be known before the category gets crowded. Suppliers that come in 2027 and return in 2028 will be the familiar names to Vietnamese buyers. ICP clear, meet the right buyer, close faster — that only works if buyers can find you year after year.
One data gap: we could not find an open, official count of industrial robots installed in Vietnam. The International Federation of Robotics publishes it in its paid World Robotics report. If the number matters to your business case, buy the IFR data rather than relying on second-hand estimates.

ROBOTEX Vietnam 2027: Hanoi in May or Ho Chi Minh City in August?
The two editions sit next to very different neighbours, and that decides who walks past your booth.
| ROBOTEX Hanoi | ROBOTEX Ho Chi Minh City | |
|---|---|---|
| Dates | 13–15 May 2027 | 5–7 August 2027 |
| Venue | VEC, Dong Anh, Hanoi (opened 19 August 2025; about 93,000 m² of indoor halls) | SECC, 799 Nguyễn Văn Linh, HCMC (column-free Halls A and B) |
| Status | First ROBOTEX in Hanoi | Confirmed via vilog.vn (VILOG 2027 co-located show) |
| Neighbouring shows | Vietnam Expo 2027 (national multi-sector fair), Hardware & Hand Tools Expo Hanoi, Elevator Expo | VILOG 2027, Viet ColdChain; Medipharm and VIREC at SECC the same week per the calendar |
| Neighbour scale | Vietnam Expo 2026: 500+ booths, 420+ companies, about half foreign, 20 countries (Vietnam News) | VILOG 2027 target: 490 companies, 25+ countries, 600+ booths, 25,000+ visits (vilog.vn) |
| Likely visitors | Northern factory owners and engineers (electronics belt), machine builders, government delegations | 3PLs, warehouse and port managers, southern manufacturers (HCMC, Dong Nai area) |
| Best for | Factory automation, cobots, machine vision, motion control and components | AGV/AMR, warehouse robotics, WMS, forklifts and intralogistics |
- If your product moves goods, choose August. It has a confirmed host show, a 2026 track record and a buyer base that matches half the ROBOTEX scope.
- If your product makes goods, look hard at May. It is less proven, because no ROBOTEX has run in Hanoi yet. Before you commit, Wisematch will ask VINEXAD how many robotics exhibitors have signed.
- The two editions are 12 weeks apart. That is enough to meet northern buyers in May, send quotations or demo units, and meet southern logistics buyers in August. Doing both shows the market you plan to stay.

ROBOTEX vs Vietnam Smart Factory Expo 2026: which automation show?
Searches for “vietnam smart factory expo 2026” point to a separate event, and suppliers often ask which to pick.
| ROBOTEX Vietnam (HCMC) | Vietnam Smart Factory Expo (VSE) | |

| Published scale | Host VILOG 2026: 450 companies, 22 countries, 550+ booths | Pre-show target: about 500 booths on 8,800 m², 14,000+ trade visitors, about 500 B2B matchmaking sessions |
| Focus | Robots plus intralogistics, warehouse automation, MES/WMS | Automation, robotics, 3D printing, laser cutting, supporting industry |
| Main buyer | Logistics, warehousing and factory operations | Manufacturers and supporting-industry firms |
| 2027 date | 5–7 Aug 2027 (SECC); 13–15 May 2027 (VEC) | Not yet published |
Sources: Báo Đầu tư, 15 Jul 2026; Tạp chí Công Thương, 30 Jul 2026; Vietnam News Bizhub, 10 Mar 2026. VSE figures are pre-show expectations.
VSE is the more manufacturing-focused show with a structured matchmaking programme. ROBOTEX in August is the stronger choice if your buyer runs a warehouse or logistics operation, because it borrows VILOG’s audience. In 2026 the two were five weeks apart at the same venue, so one trip did not cover both. For the wider list, see industrial and manufacturing trade shows in Vietnam 2027.
Who should exhibit at ROBOTEX 2027, who should visit, and who should wait
| Your company | Recommendation | Why |
|---|---|---|
| AGV/AMR, ASRS or warehouse robotics supplier | Exhibit in August | VILOG brings 3PLs, distribution centres and ports to the same hall |
| Robot arm or cobot brand with, or seeking, a Vietnamese integrator | Exhibit; May for factory buyers | Integrators and plant engineers want live demos and local service |
| Integrator from Japan, Korea, Taiwan, Singapore or Europe following clients into Vietnam | Exhibit or join a shared stand | Meet the plants your clients have opened, plus their local suppliers |
| MES/WMS software vendor | Exhibit with a hardware partner | Buyers want to see software running a real cell or rack |
| Vietnamese factory or 3PL planning automation | Visit | Compare suppliers and integrators side by side in three days |
| Consumer or educational robot brand | Skip | ROBOTEX is industrial B2B; the student crowd goes to Robotex-style competitions |
| Supplier with no local service partner or Vietnamese-language support | Visit first, exhibit later | Factories rarely buy automation they cannot get serviced locally |

How to exhibit at ROBOTEX Vietnam 2027, step by step
Don’t go to trade shows to hope — go to control probability. Counting back from August you have about nine months; from May, about six and a half.
- November–December 2026: send Wisematch your products, references and target customers. We ask VINEXAD how many robotics exhibitors have signed for each edition and whether ROBOTEX has its own zone or shares VILOG’s floor.
- By January 2027: choose the edition. Pick a shell-scheme booth (walls, fascia, lighting, furniture), raw space for a custom build, or a place on a shared stand. Wisematch handles the application and contract and sends the floor plan.
- February 2027: plan how demo equipment enters Vietnam. Robots shipped for an exhibition normally go in under temporary import and must be re-exported or cleared afterwards. Wisematch coordinates this with the official forwarder and gives you the timeline.
- March 2027 (for May) or May 2027 (for August): confirm power, three-phase connections, compressed air and floor load for your demo. A working cell draws more attention than a static arm, but it needs safety fencing and an approved layout.
- Six weeks before: we send you a list of 30–50 named target companies (FDI plants, integrators, 3PLs) for approval and invite them in Vietnamese. Prepare Vietnamese datasheets and a simple payback example. Apply for e-visas with the exhibitor confirmation we provide.
- Show days: qualify every visitor: what they make or move, how many shifts, what they automate today, who signs. Our interpreter keeps the conversation technical.
- Within a week after: send a written proposal or site-visit offer to every qualified contact. Factory visits in Vietnam are usually easy to arrange and convert better than email; we help schedule them.
Documents and cost lines to prepare
- Company profile, product catalogue and reference list (ideally including plants in Asia).
- Exhibit list with weights, dimensions and power needs, for freight and venue approval.
- CE or equivalent safety documentation for robots and cells on display.
- Budget lines: space, stand build and fencing, extra power and air, freight and re-export, insurance, interpreters, and a second trip for site visits. That second trip is where most of the return is decided. We do not publish booth prices; ask us for the current options.
Travel and venues
Vietnam’s e-visa, open to all nationalities for up to 90 days, is issued at evisa.gov.vn. Citizens of 12 countries, including Germany, France, Japan, South Korea and the UK, can enter visa-free for 45 days under Resolution 44/NQ-CP. VEC is about 15 minutes from Noi Bai International Airport (Tuoi Tre News, 2024). SECC is about 20 minutes from central Ho Chi Minh City and 45 minutes from Tan Son Nhat airport (SECC). More: Vietnam business visa for trade fairs, VEC Hanoi events, SECC events.

What a booth at ROBOTEX will not do for you
A booth will not give you a local service network, and Vietnamese factories rarely buy automation from a supplier they cannot call when a line stops. It will not shorten a sales cycle that runs through trials, quotations and head-office approval, and it will not sort students and curious visitors from plant engineers for you. Nobody, including Wisematch, can promise a number of buyers, leads or orders. What the fair gives you is three days in the same hall as the people who run Vietnam’s factories and warehouses. The meetings you set before the show and the speed of your follow-up decide what that is worth.
Frequently asked questions about ROBOTEX Vietnam
When is ROBOTEX Vietnam 2027?
ROBOTEX Vietnam has two editions in 2027: 13–15 May 2027 at the Vietnam Exhibition Center (VEC) in Hanoi, and 5–7 August 2027 at SECC in Ho Chi Minh City. The August edition runs alongside VILOG 2027.
How do I book a booth at ROBOTEX Vietnam?
Book through Wisematch, an official sales agent of VINEXAD, the organiser of ROBOTEX Vietnam. Send us your products, preferred edition (Hanoi in May or HCMC in August) and booth size on WhatsApp or email. We reply the same working day in English with booth options and the floor plan, then handle the contract, visa letters, demo-equipment shipping and buyer invitations.
Is ROBOTEX Vietnam the same as the Robotex robotics festival?
No. ROBOTEX Vietnam is a business-to-business trade fair for industrial robots, automation and smart factories, organised by VINEXAD in Vietnam. Robotex International is a separate robotics festival and competition that began in Estonia and is aimed mainly at students. They share a name and nothing else.
Was there a ROBOTEX Vietnam 2025?
No. The fair launched in 2026, with its first edition on 30 July – 1 August 2026 at SECC inside the Vietnam International Logistics Exhibition (VILOG 2026). Listings that mention a 2025 edition usually confuse it with the Estonian Robotex festival or with other automation shows held in Vietnam.
What products are shown at ROBOTEX?
The organiser lists industrial robots, collaborative robots, AGVs and AMRs, AI vision, MES and WMS software, smart warehousing, factory automation, smart logistics and production data platforms. The emphasis is on how these work together across a factory and warehouse. Service and consumer robots are outside the core scope.
Is ROBOTEX the same as the Vietnam Smart Factory Expo?
No. The Vietnam Smart Factory Expo (VSE) is run by the National Innovation Center with Uninet Exhibition; its 2026 edition was at SECC on 24–26 June 2026. ROBOTEX is run by VINEXAD and in 2026 was held inside VILOG at SECC from 30 July to 1 August. VSE leans to manufacturing; ROBOTEX’s August edition leans to logistics buyers.
Can I visit ROBOTEX without exhibiting?
Yes. Trade visitors register online before the show. Wisematch can arrange a visitor programme for foreign companies with pre-booked meetings, an interpreter and transport between hotel and venue. Visiting first is a sensible step if you are unsure whether Hanoi or Ho Chi Minh City fits your product.
