The Vietnam Elevator Expo is Vietnam’s specialist trade show for lifts, escalators, components and lift technology, co-organised by the Vietnam Elevator Association (VNEA) and VINEXAD. In 2027 it runs 13–15 May at VEC Hall H2, Hanoi, and 2–4 December at SECC, Ho Chi Minh City. It suits component suppliers and lift brands looking for Vietnamese installers and distributors.

Wisematch is an official sales agent of VINEXAD, which co-organises the Vietnam Elevator Expo with the Vietnam Elevator Association. International companies can book booths, national pavilion space and visitor programmes for the Vietnam Elevator Expo directly through Wisematch — one English-speaking contact on WhatsApp from enquiry to show day.

What Wisematch does for you

  • Advises Hanoi (May) or Ho Chi Minh City (December) for your product, then books the booth and handles the contract, floor plan and exhibitor manual.
  • Arranges a shared stand or pavilion space if you want to test the market before taking your own booth.
  • Supplies the exhibitor confirmation your team needs for the e-visa, and explains when a sponsored visa is needed.
  • Coordinates shipping and temporary import of heavy exhibits (cabins, door systems, traction machines) and checks floor load and power with the venue.
  • Builds a list of Vietnamese installers, maintenance firms and distributors to invite, provides an interpreter on show days, and helps with follow-up afterwards.

Searchers also call it “Vietnam lift expo”, “elevator expo Vietnam” or, in Vietnamese, “triển lãm thang máy” and “triển lãm thang máy quốc tế Việt Nam”. All of these point to the same VNEA–VINEXAD show. One caution: a separate “Vietnam International Lift Expo 2025” ran in Ho Chi Minh City on 24–26 September 2025 with nearly 100 companies and a Vietnam–China cooperation conference (Báo Văn Hóa; Elevator World). It is a different event with different organisers. Check the organiser names before signing anything.

The official “Show report” page is empty when opened, so we built the history from the Ministry of Industry and Trade’s magazine, VnEconomy, Bnews (VNA) and the organiser’s news posts.

The edition numbers in the press do not line up neatly (2025 billed as the 4th, December 2026 as the 6th in HCMC). That matters less than the size, which has held at about 120 booths since 2024. Put the 14,168-visitor figure in context too: it covers a show that shared SECC with Vietnam Expo HCMC. About 45% were trade visitors, roughly 6,400 people by our arithmetic. Plan for a focused pool of lift professionals, not a crowd of 14,000.

What is on show at the Vietnam Elevator Expo

The organiser lists five product groups for 2026 (elevatorexpo.vn; Diễn đàn Doanh nghiệp, October 2026):

  • Complete lifts and escalators: passenger lifts, freight lifts, home lifts and escalators.
  • Components and parts: controllers, inverters, sensors, control panels and buttons; steel ropes, belts, guide rails and pulleys; cabins, landing doors, car doors and accessories.
  • Safety equipment: safety gears, overspeed governors, buffers and rescue devices.
  • Materials and finishing: steel, aluminium, glass, coatings, sound and heat insulation; lighting, ventilation, air conditioning, audio and cabin decoration.
  • Technology and operations: IoT, AI, remote monitoring and maintenance, building management system (BMS) integration and energy-saving solutions.

Exhibitor logos on the 2026 site include BTL, CS, Fujitech, Gamalift, Hailong Glass, Heeidung, JAT, Kasawa, Mekamic, Soken, Vietbase, VILEA (Vietnam Institute of Elevator Applied Engineering), Wittur and Ziehl-Abegg. The Chinese lift maker SMEC advertises on the site, and the show lists a Chinese international partner, Lianfair.

Why exhibit at the Vietnam Elevator Expo: five concrete reasons

Ask any lift supplier who has tried to enter Vietnam from outside, and you hear the same thing: the big brands are already here with their own subsidiaries, and the real volume sits with hundreds of local installers, maintenance companies and independent brands that are hard to find from abroad. This show is built around exactly those buyers. Here is why it can earn its place in your plan.

1. A large installed base and steady new demand

VnEconomy (June 2025) reported more than 480,000 elevators in operation in Vietnam and 40,000–45,000 new installations a year; Báo Văn Hóa repeated the figure in September 2025. Neither names a primary source, so treat it as an industry estimate. A research firm, Credence Research, quoted by VnEconomy, put the elevator and escalator market at about US$443.52 million in 2024, growing 7.65% a year towards US$800 million by 2032. Other firms publish different numbers. What matters for a component supplier is the installed base: every one of those lifts needs maintenance, spare parts, safety upgrades and, eventually, modernisation.

2. Housing and transit projects that need vertical transport

Vietnam’s social housing programme is one concrete driver. Under Decision 338/QĐ-TTg (2023) the government set a target of at least one million social housing units for 2021–2030. The Ministry of Construction reported more than 103,000 units completed in 2025, and the Prime Minister assigned 973,471 units for 2026–2030, including 158,723 in 2026 alone (Vietnam Law Magazine/VNA, January 2026). Much of this is mid- and high-rise. Transit adds more: Tạp chí Công Thương (September 2025) cited Long Thanh International Airport, Ho Chi Minh City’s Metro Line 2 (investment above VND47,800 billion) and Hanoi’s metro lines 2 and 5. Hitachi’s 2015 order for 32 elevators and 31 escalators on HCMC Metro Line 1 shows the scale one transit line can bring.

3. The industry association is in the room

Most specialist shows in Vietnam are run by an exhibition company alone. This one is co-owned by VNEA, the industry body. In practice that means installers, maintenance firms and technical institutes arrive through the association’s own network, and the programme includes standards and safety sessions. In 2023 VNEA ran a Reliable Supply Chain Group that linked foreign suppliers with Vietnamese customers without fees (organiser release, November 2023). Ask us whether a similar matching programme runs in 2027.

4. Safety rules give certified products a reason to be heard

Lifts in Vietnam fall under the national technical regulation QCVN 02:2019/BLĐTBXH on labour safety for elevators, issued with Circular 42/2019/TT-BLĐTBXH. It covers design, manufacture, import, installation, maintenance and inspection, and Circular 12/2021/TT-BLĐTBXH sets the periodic inspection procedure. The 2025 show had a dedicated Safety & Regulation zone, and a seminar on the draft national elevator standard ran in the co-located hardware show programme. If your governors, safety gears, door locks or rescue devices carry recognised certification, you have a story buyers need to hear.

5. Two cities, two buyer pools, one partner

From 2026 the show runs in Hanoi in spring and Ho Chi Minh City in December. Northern and southern Vietnam have different developers, installers and distribution networks; a Hanoi distributor rarely covers the Mekong Delta. Bnews/VNA reported that the operator of the Heeidung Lift home-lift brand spoke with “more than 6 potential distributors” in the first two days of the Hanoi 2026 edition, and RND Lâm Anh, an IoT lift-monitoring company, said it connected with lift companies and building managers. These are exhibitor statements, not audited results, but they show what the floor is for: finding partners who will carry and service your product locally.

Elevator expo 2026 and 2027: Vietnam, India or China compared

Searches such as “elevator expo 2026 India”, “elevator expo Delhi”, “elevator expo 2026 Bangalore” and “elevator expo China” come from suppliers choosing between regional shows. Here is how they compare on what we could verify.

What this means for your decision:

  • India and China are sourcing shows; Vietnam is a market-entry show. Buyers travel to Delhi or China to compare many suppliers. In Vietnam you meet the local companies who will install and service your product.
  • December 2026 has a direct clash. ISEE and the HCMC edition both run 3–5 December 2026. If the HCMC 2027 edition stays on 2–4 December, check ISEE’s next date before you commit your team.
  • Chinese suppliers are already present in Vietnam. A non-Chinese supplier needs a clear difference: certification, safety record, local service support, energy savings or design.

How to exhibit at the Vietnam Elevator Expo 2027, step by step

Don’t go to trade shows to hope — go to control probability. For a lift supplier that means choosing the right city, preparing certification answers and inviting named buyers before the doors open. Here is the timeline for the Hanoi edition (13–15 May 2027); shift it seven months later for December in HCMC.

  1. Now to December 2026: tell Wisematch your products, certifications and target customers. We advise Hanoi, HCMC or both. If you can, walk the HCMC edition on 3–5 December 2026 with us.
  2. By January 2027: confirm the booth. Choose a shell-scheme booth (walls, fascia, lights, furniture) or raw space for a custom build. If you want to test the market first, ask about a place on a shared stand. Wisematch handles the application and contract with VINEXAD and sends the floor plan.
  3. February–March 2027: plan any live demonstration with us: power, height limits and floor load at VEC Hall H2. Prepare datasheets and certificates in English and Vietnamese.
  4. March 2027: book flights and apply for e-visas. We supply the exhibitor confirmation for each team member. Ship heavy exhibits: Wisematch coordinates freight and temporary import with the official forwarder.
  5. March–April 2027: we build and send the invitation list (installers, maintenance firms, distributors, developers’ M&E managers) and book interpreters.
  6. Show days: qualify by project pipeline: how many lifts per year, which brands they install, who signs the purchase order.
  7. Within a week after: send quotes, lead times and certificates. Installers compare options fast. We help translate and follow up.

Documents and practical points

  • Company profile and product catalogue in English, ideally with a Vietnamese summary.
  • Certificates for safety components (type-test certificates, EN 81 or equivalent) — buyers will ask how your product fits QCVN 02:2019 inspection.
  • Exhibit list with weights and dimensions for freight and floor-load approval.
  • Passport details for each traveller, for the e-visa and badges. See our business visa guide.

What a booth at the Vietnam Elevator Expo will not do for you

A booth puts you in a room with lift professionals for three days. It will not certify your safety components for Vietnamese projects, win a metro or airport tender, or replace a local service partner, which every lift buyer expects for maintenance. Nobody can promise you a number of distributors or orders, and we do not. Results depend on the meetings you set up before the show and how fast you follow up after it. We would rather tell you to wait a year than sell you a booth that will not work.

Frequently asked questions

When is the Vietnam Elevator Expo 2027?

The Hanoi edition runs 13–15 May 2027 in Hall H2 at the Vietnam Exhibition Center (VEC), Dong Anh, as stated on elevatorexpo.vn. A Ho Chi Minh City edition runs 2–4 December 2027 at SECC.

How do I book a booth at the Vietnam Elevator Expo?

Book through Wisematch, an official sales agent of VINEXAD, which co-organises the show with the Vietnam Elevator Association. Send us your products, preferred city and booth size on WhatsApp or email. We reply the same working day in English with booth options and the floor plan, then handle the contract, exhibitor manual, visa letters and shipping.

Who organises the Vietnam Elevator Expo?

It is co-organised by the Vietnam Elevator Association (VNEA), the industry body, and VINEXAD, a UFI-member exhibition company founded in 1975 that also runs Vietnam Expo. The official site shows the Ministry of Industry and Trade as host. Do not confuse it with a separate Vietnam–China lift exhibition held in Ho Chi Minh City in September 2025.

How big is the Vietnam Elevator Expo?

The 2024 edition had 120 booths from 100 companies and 14,168 visitors, 45% of them trade visitors, according to Tạp chí Công Thương. The 2025 edition targeted about 120 companies, 150 booths and 15,000 visitors from 10+ countries. No post-show figures have been published for the April 2026 Hanoi edition. It is a focused specialist show, not a mass fair.

Is there an elevator expo in India or China at the same time?

India’s ISEE runs 3–5 December 2026 at Yashobhoomi, New Delhi, the same dates as Vietnam’s HCMC edition, according to the Embassy of India in Hanoi. Aggregator listings place China’s 17th International Elevator Exhibition in May 2026 but conflict on the venue. India and China are large sourcing shows; Vietnam’s is for meeting local installers and distributors.

Can I visit the Vietnam Elevator Expo without exhibiting?

Yes. Trade visitors register online in advance, and Wisematch can arrange a visitor programme with pre-booked meetings, an interpreter and transport. Visiting the December 2026 HCMC edition is a sensible way to judge the floor before booking a 2027 booth, especially if you are choosing between Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City.

Is “triển lãm thang máy” the same event?

“Triển lãm Quốc tế Thang máy Việt Nam” is the Vietnamese name of the Vietnam Elevator Expo, and searches such as “triển lãm thang máy Hà Nội” or “triển lãm thang máy TPHCM” refer to its two editions. Check that VNEA and VINEXAD are named as organisers, because another lift exhibition with a Vietnam–China focus ran separately in 2025.
