Asia’s main food trade shows in 2027 run from FOODEX Japan (9–12 March, Tokyo) and FHA Singapore (20–23 April) through THAIFEX – Anuga Asia (25–29 May, Bangkok) to Vietfood & Beverage – ProPack in Ho Chi Minh City (12–14 August), Asia Fruit Logistica (7–9 September) and CAEXPO (17–21 September). This guide is for buyers sourcing from Asia and food companies choosing where to exhibit.
Wisematch is an official sales agent of VINEXAD, the organiser of Vietfood & Beverage – ProPack (Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi) and Viet ColdChain. International companies can book booths, national pavilion space and visitor programmes for these Vietnamese shows directly through Wisematch — one English-speaking contact on WhatsApp from enquiry to show day.
For the foreign fairs on this page (FOODEX, THAIFEX, FHA, Asia Fruit Logistica, CAEXPO, CIIE and others), Wisematch is not the organiser’s agent. Wisematch organises visitor delegations, arranges exhibiting space and supports Vietnamese companies taking part — from choosing a stand, paperwork, visas and sample shipping to booking meetings with buyers.
What Wisematch does for you
- Shortlists the one or two shows that fit your product and target buyers, and tells you which ones to skip.
- Books your booth or a place in a shared pavilion, and handles the contract and floor-plan choice.
- Supports visa invitation letters and the entry route for your team.
- Coordinates sample shipping and food-specific paperwork for display goods.
- Builds a buyer or supplier meeting list, provides interpreters on site and helps with follow-up after the show.

This guide is for two readers. The first is a foreign buyer who sources food from Asia, and especially from Vietnam. The second is a food company deciding where in Asia to exhibit. It covers the international food fairs that matter most in East and Southeast Asia in 2027, gives each show’s confirmed date or says plainly when the date is not yet confirmed, and shows where Vietnamese exporters have taken booths. Every figure carries its year and source.

Food exhibitions in Vietnam: Vietfood, ProPack and Viet ColdChain
Searches for “vietfood” and “propack” each run at 100–1,000 a month in Vietnam, and “vietfood & beverage propack vietnam 2026” at 100–1,000 globally (Google Keyword Planner, Oct 2025 – Sep 2026). They all point to the same VINEXAD fair, held twice a year.

For a buyer, this is the one show in Asia where Vietnamese food companies are the home side, and the factories are a short drive away the same week. For a foreign food or packaging company, it is a direct route to Vietnamese importers, distributors and processors. More detail on our Vietfood & Beverage – ProPack Ho Chi Minh City 2027 page.
Vietfood & Beverage – ProPack Hanoi
The northern edition is smaller: site counters show 6,500 m², 400 booths, 350 exhibitors and 17,000 visitors. The 13th edition runs 3–6 November 2027 at the Hanoi International Exhibition Center (I.C.E Hanoi, 91 Tran Hung Dao), the venue of the 2026 edition. It suits companies whose distributors are in northern Vietnam. See Vietfood Hanoi.
ProPak Vietnam is a different show
“Propak” is the most searched name in this group: 10,000–100,000 a month worldwide, mostly for ProPak Asia in Bangkok. Vietnam also has a separate processing and packaging fair, ProPak Vietnam, whose site describes it as annual with “over 10,000 trade visitors” after 17 editions. It is not VINEXAD’s Vietfood & Beverage – ProPack, despite the near-identical name. Check the organiser on any quotation.
Viet ColdChain and VILOG
Chilled and frozen food buyers should arrive a week earlier. Viet ColdChain runs 5–7 August 2027 at SECC alongside the Vietnam Logistics Expo (VILOG), which reported 18,126 visitors, 550 booths and more than 340 companies from 23 countries and territories in 2026. For a frozen seafood or fruit buyer, these halls show who can actually move product, which matters as much as who grows it.
Other Vietnamese fairs with food zones: Vietnam Expo Hanoi (13–15 May 2027), Vietnam Expo HCMC (2–4 December 2027), the Japan Expo in Hanoi (29–31 July 2027) and the Zhejiang Export Fair at SECC (19–21 August).
Japan food expos: FOODEX Japan and the Supermarket Trade Show
FOODEX Japan 2027
FOODEX Japan, the 52nd International Food and Beverage Exhibition, runs 9–12 March 2027 at Tokyo Big Sight, organised by the Japan Management Association. Its 2026 show report gives 3,238 exhibitors (2,126 from overseas, from 76 countries and regions), 4,026 booths on 36,234 m², and 73,842 visitors, of whom 14,430 came from overseas. Trading and wholesale companies were the largest visitor group. Vietnam ranked seventh among overseas visitor countries in 2026, and the 2026 floor plan shows the Embassy of Viet Nam, a Vietnamese agricultural trade promotion stand and companies such as Acecook Vietnam, Long An Food Processing Export, Luong Quoi Coconut, Thuan Phuoc Seafood and Sa Giang. A buyer looking for Japanese-standard Vietnamese suppliers can find them in one hall in Tokyo.
Supermarket Trade Show 2027
SMTS runs 17–19 February 2027 at Makuhari Messe, organised by the National Supermarket Association of Japan, with a JETRO buyer programme alongside it and FOODEX. USDA FAS reported more than 77,000 visitors, 2,237 exhibitors and 3,611 booths for 2025. Vietnam’s Trade Office in Japan has reported Japanese importers displaying Vietnamese coffee, fish sauce, spices, rice paper, beer and coconut water there (Ministry of Industry and Trade, 2024). For most Vietnamese exporters, SMTS is a show to enter through a Japanese importer rather than with an own stand.

Southeast Asia: THAIFEX – Anuga Asia, FHA Singapore, ProPak Asia and SIAL Interfood
THAIFEX – Anuga Asia 2027, Bangkok
THAIFEX – Anuga Asia returns on 25–29 May 2027 at IMPACT Muang Thong Thani, organised by Koelnmesse, the Thai Chamber of Commerce and Thailand’s Department of International Trade Promotion. The 2026 post-show report lists 3,590 exhibitors from 56 countries and regions, 94,685 visitors from 148, and 2,195 trade mission members and hosted buyers. The organiser estimates USD 4.01 billion in order value, of which USD 6.37 million was immediate orders at the show and USD 4.00 billion “anticipated business within 12 months”, based on exhibitor declarations. Vietnam appears among the top ten foreign exhibitor countries and the top ten foreign visitor countries, and Vietnamese retailers such as Con Cung and Annam appear among the 2026 trade-buyer logos.
FHA Singapore 2027
Informa Markets announced Food & Hospitality Asia 2027, the 49th edition, for 20–23 April 2027, with more than 1,820 exhibitors from 110 countries and more than 60,000 visitors expected (press release, 15 October 2026). For anyone searching “singapore food expo 2026”, the next Singapore edition is April 2027. Singapore also hosts Seafood Expo Asia, where the Vietnam Association of Seafood Exporters and Producers (VASEP) has organised a Vietnamese stand (MOIT, 2024).
ProPak Asia 2027
ProPak Asia 2027 runs 9–12 June at IMPACT, Bangkok. Informa Markets Thailand reported more than 80,000 visitors, 2,500+ brands, 13 international pavilions and more than 60,000 m² for 2026 (ThaiPR.NET, 19 June 2026). It is a machinery and packaging show: Vietnamese processors go to buy lines and packaging, so it suits equipment suppliers looking for Vietnamese factory buyers.
SIAL Interfood, Jakarta
Indonesia’s main food fair has split into two November events in Jakarta: SIAL Food & Drinks Indonesia at JIExpo Kemayoran and KRISTA INTERFOOD at NICE PIK 2 (both 4–6/7 November 2026). The 2025 SIAL InterFOOD site showed 1,000+ exhibitors and 90,000+ visitors. Twenty-three Vietnamese companies exhibited in 2025, 18 of them from Ho Chi Minh City, showing coffee, nuts, fruit drinks, instant noodles and chocolate (Vietnam News, 13 November 2025). No 2027 date had been published for either.
China, Hong Kong, Korea and Taiwan food expos
CAEXPO, Nanning
The China–ASEAN Expo is a government fair, co-hosted by China’s Ministry of Commerce and ASEAN governments. Its secretariat gave preliminary dates of 17–21 September 2027 for the 24th edition (Xinhua-AsiaNet, 14 October 2026). The 2026 edition had 3,432 companies from 73 countries on more than 170,000 m². Vietnam’s Ministry of Industry and Trade organised more than 120 Vietnamese companies on close to 4,000 m² in 2026 — the largest Vietnamese group we could document at any foreign food-related fair.
CIIE, Shanghai
The China International Import Expo is an import fair: foreign exhibitors sell into China. The 2025 edition had about 4,108 exhibitors on 367,000 m² (Shanghai government); Vietnam’s ministry gives a larger area figure of more than 430,000 m². Vietnam had a 132 m² national pavilion and a 600 m² commercial area for 50 food and agricultural companies in 2025, including TH True Milk, Trung Nguyen and Quang Ngai Sugar (MOIT, 5 November 2025). The 9th edition runs 5–10 November 2026; 10th-edition dates for 2027 had not been announced.
Asia Fruit Logistica, Hong Kong
Asia Fruit Logistica runs 7–9 September 2027. For 2026 it reports more than 760 exhibitors from 41 countries and more than 16,000 attendees from 95 countries and regions. Vietnam’s fruit and vegetable association led 22 companies on 24 booths in 2026, with durian, dragon fruit, banana, mango, coconut and pomelo drawing attention (Vietnam News, 3 September 2026).
Seoul Food & Hotel and Food Taipei
Trade-fair listings give 8–11 June 2027 at KINTEX for Seoul Food & Hotel, organised by Informa Markets with KOTRA, and 23–26 June 2027 at Nangang for Food Taipei, organised by TAITRA. Neither date appeared on an official page we could open in October 2026, so treat them as planning dates. The Vietnam Trade Promotion Agency took 19 Vietnamese firms, including Vinamilk, Luong Quoi coconut and Quang Ngai Sugar, to Food Taipei 2024 (MOIT).

Why go: five reasons that decide which Asian food fair is right for you
1. Vietnam’s food exports are big, growing and concentrated in a few categories
Vietnam’s agro-forestry-fishery exports reached US$56.3 billion in January–September 2026, up 7.8%, with fruit and vegetables at nearly US$7.35 billion (+19.9%), seafood at US$9.17 billion (+12.3%), coffee at US$6.54 billion, cashew at US$3.85 billion and pepper at US$1.4 billion (Ministry of Agriculture and Environment via VNA, 2 October 2026). For full-year 2025, seafood reached US$11.29 billion, coffee US$8.9 billion and fruit and vegetables US$8.56 billion (Vietnam Customs). If you buy any of these, Vietnamese suppliers will be at the shows that serve your market — the question is which show puts the right ones in front of you.
2. The export flows decide where Vietnamese suppliers exhibit
China took 24.4% of Vietnam’s agro-forestry-fishery exports and 63% of its fruit and vegetable exports in the first nine months of 2026, with the US and Japan next (VNA). That is why the biggest Vietnamese delegations abroad sit at CAEXPO, CIIE and Asia Fruit Logistica. A buyer outside China gets more Vietnamese suppliers per day at Vietfood HCMC than at any foreign show, although the organiser does not publish the domestic share of its 1,000+ exhibitors.
3. Foreign fairs show you who is export-ready
A Vietnamese company that pays for a stand at FOODEX or Asia Fruit Logistica has usually solved certification, labelling and cold-chain questions already. If your compliance requirements are strict, start your shortlist from those exhibitor lists, then visit the factories in Vietnam during Vietfood week.
4. For foreign food companies, Vietnam is a market as well as a source
Vietnam also imported US$39.4 billion of agricultural, forestry and fishery products in the first nine months of 2026, up 8%, including US$24.96 billion of agricultural products and US$4 billion of livestock products (+21.4%) (VNA). A European dairy brand, an Australian meat exporter or a Korean snack maker meets Vietnamese importers and distributors most directly at Vietfood HCMC, not at a regional show where they are one of thousands.
5. Headline order values are mostly forecasts
THAIFEX’s USD 4.01 billion was USD 6.37 million in immediate orders and USD 4.00 billion expected within a year, per its own report. Use these figures to compare a show’s ambition, not to estimate your own results. Don’t go to trade shows to hope — go to control probability: pick the show by who will be in the aisles, then book meetings before you fly.

Who should exhibit, visit or skip
| You are… | Our recommendation |
|---|---|
| A foreign buyer sourcing several Vietnamese categories | Visit Vietfood HCMC with pre-booked meetings, plus Viet ColdChain the week before |
| A fresh-fruit buyer | Asia Fruit Logistica, then Vietnamese packhouses |
| A foreign food brand entering Vietnam | Exhibit at Vietfood HCMC; add Hanoi in November if your distributor is northern |
| A packaging or processing-machinery supplier | ProPak Asia for the region; Vietfood & Beverage – ProPack for Vietnamese factory buyers |
| A Vietnamese exporter new to Japan | Visit FOODEX first; exhibit when labelling and specifications are ready |
| A company without export documents or samples ready | Skip exhibiting this cycle; visit with a delegation and prepare |

Two routes through the 2027 calendar
Route A: the spring Asia loop for exhibitors
FOODEX Japan (9–12 March) → FHA Singapore (20–23 April) → THAIFEX – Anuga Asia (25–29 May) → ProPak Asia (9–12 June). Four shows, three countries, about thirteen weeks. This suits a food brand testing which Asian market responds best, finishing in Bangkok where THAIFEX and ProPak share a venue.
Route B: Vietnam to China for buyers sourcing from Vietnam
Viet ColdChain and VILOG (5–7 August) → Vietfood & Beverage – ProPack HCMC (12–14 August), with factory visits in between → Asia Fruit Logistica, Hong Kong (7–9 September) → CAEXPO, Nanning (17–21 September, preliminary). You meet Vietnamese suppliers at home first, see their logistics partners, then watch the same companies pitch to Chinese buyers a month later — which tells you a lot about price positioning. Our guide to sourcing in Vietnam covers the factory-visit week, and the Vietnam business visa guide explains why the whole August block fits on one e-visa.
How to take part, step by step (Vietfood HCMC 2027 as the example)
- 7–9 months before (by January 2027): tell Wisematch your product, target buyers and preferred booth size. We send booth or pavilion options and the floor plan, or a visitor programme if you are buying.
- 5–6 months before: sign the booth contract through Wisematch. Prepare English and Vietnamese product sheets, specifications and certificates buyers will ask for.
- 3–4 months before: Wisematch builds the meeting list — importers, distributors, retail and food-service buyers, or for buyers, pre-qualified suppliers and factory visits.
- 2 months before: ship samples. Food display goods need commercial documents and, for some categories, health or origin papers; Wisematch coordinates with the forwarder.
- 3–4 weeks before: visas. Most nationalities use the e-visa; several European countries, Japan and Korea enter visa-free for 45 days.
- Show week: build-up, three show days with an interpreter, and factory or office visits on the days around the show.
- Two weeks after: follow-up with every serious contact. Wisematch helps schedule second meetings and samples.
What an Asian food fair will not do for you
A booth at any of these shows buys you visibility for three to five days. It will not register your product for import, translate your label, or follow up with the cards you collect. It will not guarantee a number of buyers, and no organiser or agent, Wisematch included, can honestly promise one. THAIFEX’s own 2026 report makes the point: a Malaysian exhibitor closed a USD 250,000 first order with a Thai retailer two years after a first sample at the 2024 show. Budget for that follow-up before you budget for the stand.
More on individual shows (some in Vietnamese): Asia Fruit Logistica 2027, CAEXPO 2027, CIIE 2027, SMTS 2027, SIAL Interfood 2027, FOODEX Japan 2027, Seafood Expo North America 2027 (Boston) and Asian trade fairs 2027. For every fair in Vietnam, see Trade Shows in Vietnam 2027 and the venue guides for SECC and VEC Hanoi.
Frequently asked questions
What are the biggest food trade shows in Asia in 2027?
By reported scale, THAIFEX – Anuga Asia in Bangkok (3,590 exhibitors and 94,685 visitors in 2026) and FOODEX Japan in Tokyo (3,238 exhibitors and 73,842 visitors in 2026) lead. CAEXPO in Nanning and CIIE in Shanghai are larger multi-sector fairs with food sections. FHA Singapore expects more than 1,820 exhibitors for April 2027. Size matters less than who walks the aisles for your product.
When is Vietfood & Beverage – ProPack 2027?
The Ho Chi Minh City edition, the 31st, runs 12–14 August 2027 at SECC, per the official site. The Hanoi edition, the 13th, runs 3–6 November 2027 at I.C.E Hanoi. Viet ColdChain and VILOG run the week before Vietfood HCMC at the same venue, so chilled and frozen food buyers can cover both in one trip.
Is ProPak Vietnam the same as Vietfood & Beverage – ProPack?
No. Vietfood & Beverage – ProPack Vietnam is VINEXAD’s food, beverage, processing and packaging fair at SECC in August and in Hanoi in November. ProPak Vietnam is a separate processing and packaging show with its own website. ProPak Asia, held in Bangkok on 9–12 June 2027, is a third event. Check the organiser named on any contract.
Which Asian food fair has the most Vietnamese exhibitors abroad?
Among the foreign fairs we could document, CAEXPO in Nanning had the largest Vietnamese group: more than 120 companies on close to 4,000 m² in 2026, organised by the Ministry of Industry and Trade. CIIE in Shanghai followed, with 50 companies on 600 m² plus a national pavilion in 2025. Inside Vietnam, Vietfood HCMC, with 1,000+ companies claimed, is the larger gathering.
Is there a Japan food expo worth it for a first-time exhibitor?
FOODEX Japan (9–12 March 2027) drew 14,430 overseas and 59,412 domestic visitors in 2026, with trading and wholesale firms the largest group, so it reaches Japanese importers well. But Japanese buyers expect compliant labelling, stable specifications and samples. Companies without those usually do better visiting first, often through a national pavilion or delegation, then exhibiting the following year.
