In short: The Zhejiang Export Fair in Vietnam is where manufacturers from China’s Zhejiang province, the province behind Yiwu, Ningbo and Shaoxing, meet Vietnamese importers, distributors and factories. The 15th edition runs 19–21 August 2027 at SECC, Ho Chi Minh City, alongside Vietnam Sport Show and Vietnam Cycle Expo.

The Zhejiang Export Fair is co-organised by VINEXAD, and Wisematch is an official sales agent of VINEXAD. International companies can book booths, national pavilion space and visitor programmes for the Zhejiang Export Fair and the two shows that share its hall directly through Wisematch — one English-speaking contact on WhatsApp from enquiry to show day. If your company is registered in Zhejiang, space is usually allocated through the provincial delegation; Wisematch arranges your delegation position or a booth at the co-located shows.

What Wisematch does for you

  • Checks whether your product belongs in the Zhejiang fair, the Sport Show or the Cycle Expo, and books the booth or shared-stand space that puts you next to the right buyers.
  • For buyers: builds a visit plan and a shortlist of exhibitors in your category, and books meetings on the two trade days.
  • Supports visa invitation letters for Chinese and other foreign exhibitors, and coordinates sample shipping into Vietnam and to the hall.
  • Provides Vietnamese–Chinese–English interpreters and stays with you on the floor.
  • Follows up with your Vietnamese contacts after the show, in Vietnamese, when most orders are actually negotiated.

What the Zhejiang Export Fair is, and who runs it

Most trade fairs gather companies around a product. This one gathers them around a place. It is a provincial export fair: the government of Zhejiang brings its exporters to Ho Chi Minh City, and Vietnamese buyers walk the aisles. Vietnam News, quoting VINEXAD in August 2026, describes it as “a large export trade fair independently organised by Zhejiang Province in the ASEAN region”; Mekong ASEAN calls it the largest trade event the province organises on its own in ASEAN.

That matters for buyers in two ways. First, the exhibitors are factories and trading companies that already export, because export promotion is the reason the province pays for the trip. Second, the fair has official backing on both sides: Vietnam’s Ministry of Industry and Trade hosts it, VINEXAD — the Hanoi trade-fair company founded in 1975 and a UFI member since 2019 — organises it with Zhejiang Yuanda International Exhibition Co., Ltd., and the Zhejiang Department of Commerce supports it.

The fair has changed shape. In 2023 it was a stand-alone show of over 120 booths on more than 4,000 m² at I.C.E Hanoi (Mekong ASEAN, 2023), with home and interior products, machinery, electronics and textiles. Since 2024 it has run in Ho Chi Minh City inside a larger block with Vietnam Sport Show and Vietnam Cycle Expo; the 2024 block covered 9,000 m² with 500 booths from more than 300 companies in 12 countries and territories (Kinh doanh & Phát triển, 2024), and the 2026 block grew to 520 booths of 400 businesses from 15 countries and territories. The product mix has narrowed to match its neighbours: the 2026 edition focused on sporting and outdoor equipment, consumer goods, bicycles and electric two-wheelers, and bicycle and motorcycle parts (Vietnam News, 2026).

The four product zones in 2027

  • Two-wheelers and parts: bicycles, e-bikes, components and accessories. This zone sits beside the Vietnam Cycle Expo, so assemblers, spare-parts wholesalers and dealers are already in the building.
  • Textiles and materials: fabrics, yarns, trims and finished textile goods — the strength of Shaoxing’s Keqiao district (see below).
  • Outdoor and camping products: tents, camping furniture and outdoor gear, which links straight to the Vietnam Sport Show crowd.
  • Hardware and accessories: tools, fittings, locks and small metal parts.

What is Zhejiang famous for? The numbers behind the fair

People who search “what is Zhejiang known for” usually get tourism answers: West Lake, tea, silk. For a buyer the short answer is different: Zhejiang is one of the places the world’s everyday goods come from. These are the figures that explain why a sourcing manager should care.

For scale: China’s total exports in 2025 were 26.99 trillion yuan (General Administration of Customs, via CGTN, Jan 2026). Zhejiang’s 4.19 trillion is roughly one yuan in every six or seven, from a single province. Three clusters matter most for this fair:

  • Yiwu is the wholesale market for small commodities — the city that calls itself “the world’s supermarket”. Its trade with ASEAN rose 51% in January–October 2025 (Yiwu Customs, via China Daily, Dec 2025).
  • Ningbo is the port, and a manufacturing base for appliances, tools and consumer goods. In December 2025 more than 80 Ningbo companies brought about 150 booths to a separate consumer-goods showcase inside Vietnam Expo HCMC (Mekong ASEAN, 2025), a sign of how actively Zhejiang suppliers court Vietnamese buyers.
  • Shaoxing (Keqiao) is China Textile City: fabrics, trims and home textiles, with 38,000 vendors.

On the other searches that bring people here: we found no official ranking of Chinese provinces that we could cite, and no official cost-of-living index for Zhejiang, so we do not publish one. Zhejiang University fees are outside the scope of this page.

Why the Zhejiang Export Fair is worth your time

Here are the concrete reasons, for buyers and for manufacturers. Each one is tied to a number you can check.

1. Vietnam buys more from China than from anywhere else, and the gap keeps growing

In 2025 Vietnam–China trade reached US$256.4 billion, up 24.8%. Vietnam imported US$186 billion from China, up 29%, which was 40.9% of everything Vietnam imported; it exported US$70.4 billion to China (Vietnam Customs, via VCCI / Báo Đầu tư, April 2026). The first quarter of 2026 added another US$66.9 billion of two-way trade. Most of this is inputs: production inputs were 93.6% of Vietnam’s 2025 imports, consumer goods only 6.4% (National Statistics Office, via VCCI). In plain terms, Vietnamese factories, assemblers and distributors are already buying Chinese components, materials and parts at scale. The question is not whether to source from China but from whom.

2. Zhejiang alone is a US$20 billion trading partner for Vietnam

The organisers put Zhejiang–Vietnam trade at about US$20 billion in 2025, about 10% of all Vietnam–China trade (Vietnam News, August 2026). ASEAN is Zhejiang’s largest trading partner and its fastest-growing big one (+16.5% in 2025). For a Zhejiang exporter, Vietnam is not a side market; for a Vietnamese buyer, Zhejiang is not a niche supplier base.

3. You meet the factories in Ho Chi Minh City, without a trip to China

Meeting Zhejiang suppliers usually means flights to Hangzhou or Shanghai, a Chinese visa, a driver between Yiwu, Yongkang and Ningbo, and an interpreter for each day. Here the suppliers come to SECC, 20 minutes from central Ho Chi Minh City (SECC), and you can see samples, compare prices across several booths in one afternoon and bring your technical staff. That saves the most for buyers who are not yet sure which supplier deserves a factory visit. Use the fair to shortlist; use the factory visit to decide.

4. For Zhejiang manufacturers: Vietnamese distributors and factory buyers, already in the hall

If you are an exporter from Zhejiang or elsewhere in China, the fair gives you Vietnamese importers, wholesalers, assemblers and retail chains in one place, under a government-backed programme with B2B matching and buyer delegations (VietnamPlus, 2026). Because the fair shares its hall with Vietnam Sport Show and Vietnam Cycle Expo, the buyer flow includes sporting-goods retailers, bicycle and e-bike dealers and OEM/ODM buyers who came for the neighbouring shows. Vietnam’s own economy gives that audience money to spend: GDP grew 8.02% in 2025 and the country’s total trade reached US$930.05 billion (National Statistics Office, 2026).

5. Tariff rules work in your favour, if you document origin

Goods traded between China and Vietnam can qualify for preferential tariffs under the ASEAN–China Free Trade Agreement (ACFTA) and the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP), which Vietnam’s Ministry of Industry and Trade cites as the basis for further trade growth (VCCI, 2026). For a buyer the practical point is simple: ask every shortlisted supplier at the booth whether they issue Form E or RCEP certificates of origin for your HS code. It changes your landed cost.

How the Zhejiang fair compares with other ways to source from China

The Zhejiang fair is not the only door. The table compares it with the options our clients usually weigh. Dates and figures are from the sources named; “cost profile” is our own qualitative comparison for a buyer travelling from Vietnam.

Our advice is usually a sequence, not a choice: shortlist suppliers at the Zhejiang fair in August, order samples, then visit the two or three strongest factories in Zhejiang before a large first order. If you need hardware only, compare the specialist Vietnam Hardware & Hand Tools Expo, which runs at VEC Hanoi on 13–15 May and at SECC on 2–4 December 2027. If you sell sports goods rather than buy them, start with the Vietnam Sport Show page; if you sell bicycles or e-bikes, see the Vietnam Cycle Expo. The rest of the August calendar is on our Trade Shows in Vietnam 2027 page.

One pattern decides most cases: the fair works best when your product also appears at the Sport Show or the Cycle Expo, because that is where the combined audience comes from. For other categories it is a supplier-discovery stop, not a full sourcing trip. Our guide to consumer goods trade shows in Vietnam 2027 lists the alternatives.

How to take part in the Zhejiang Export Fair, step by step

If you are a buyer or visitor

  1. May–June 2027 (about 10–12 weeks before): tell Wisematch your category, volumes, target price and destination port. We ask the organiser for the exhibitor list and mark the 10–20 companies that fit.
  2. July 2027 (4–6 weeks before): we send your requirements to those exhibitors and book meeting slots on 19 and 20 August, the trade days. Register as a trade visitor so you enter quickly.
  3. Show days: meet the booked suppliers in the morning, walk the Sport Show and Cycle Expo in the afternoon. At each booth ask for the business licence, export record, factory address, a reference customer in Vietnam or ASEAN, and the certificate of origin they can issue.
  4. Within two weeks after: order samples, test them in Vietnam, and plan a factory visit before a large first order. We can arrange that trip.

If you are an exhibitor

  1. 6–9 months before (November 2026–February 2027): choose your format. Zhejiang-registered companies usually join through the provincial delegation and Zhejiang Yuanda; companies from elsewhere book at the Sport Show or Cycle Expo. Wisematch arranges either route and reserves the right space: a standard booth, raw space for your own stand, or a place in a shared pavilion.
  2. 4–6 months before: sign the booth contract, choose stand design, and prepare a Vietnamese-language catalogue and price list. Your distributor terms should be written down before the show.
  3. 2–3 months before: visa invitation letters for your team (Wisematch supports these; see our business visa guide for trade fairs), and sample shipping. Exhibition goods go through temporary import; the fair has an official freight forwarder, and we coordinate the paperwork and delivery to the hall.
  4. 4–6 weeks before: we send invitations to Vietnamese importers and distributors in your category and book meetings for you, with an interpreter.
  5. After the show: we follow up with each contact in Vietnamese, track sample requests and quotes, and tell you which leads are real. If you plan to import regularly or set up locally, read about setting up a trading company in Vietnam.

We do not publish booth prices: they depend on booth type, location and the route that applies to you. Ask us and we send the current options with the floor plan.

Getting to SECC

SECC is at 799 Nguyen Van Linh, Tan My Ward (the former District 7), about 20 minutes from the city centre and 45 minutes from Tan Son Nhat airport, with Cat Lai port 11 km away. Halls A and B are column-free with a 76 m span and a floor load of 5,000 kg/m²; parking takes 1,000 cars and 3,000 motorbikes (SECC). August 2027 is busy at SECC — Vietfood & Beverage – ProPack runs the week before — so book hotels when you book the booth. More on the venue: SECC events guide.

What a booth at the Zhejiang Export Fair will not do for you

A three-day fair will not audit a factory, test a product or check an export licence. It will not register your imported goods in Vietnam. No Zhejiang-only exhibitor count is published, so nobody can tell you in advance how many suppliers in your exact category will attend. Wisematch does not promise you a number of suppliers, buyers or orders, and neither should anyone else. Don’t go to trade shows to hope — go to control probability: what you take home depends on the meetings booked before the show and the checks done after it.

Frequently asked questions about the Zhejiang Export Fair

When is the Zhejiang Export Fair 2027 in Vietnam?

The 15th Zhejiang Export Fair in Vietnam runs 19–21 August 2027 (Thursday to Saturday) at SECC, Ho Chi Minh City. On the official schedule, 19 and 20 August are trade days from 9:00 to 17:00, and 21 August is open to trade and public visitors until 15:00.

How do I book a booth at the Zhejiang Export Fair?

Through Wisematch, an official sales agent of VINEXAD, which co-organises the fair. Send us your product and target buyers on WhatsApp. We arrange your place in the Zhejiang provincial delegation or space at the co-located Vietnam Sport Show or Vietnam Cycle Expo, and send the floor plan, booth options and next steps the same working day.

What is Zhejiang famous for in trade?

Exports of everyday manufactured goods. Zhejiang shipped about 4.19 trillion yuan of exports in 2025 and accounted for 15.7% of China’s exports in January–November 2025 (Hangzhou Customs). It is home to Yiwu’s wholesale market of nearly 80,000 booths, Ningbo-Zhoushan, the world’s busiest port by cargo, and Shaoxing’s China Textile City.

How big is the Zhejiang Export Fair?

No Zhejiang-only figure is published. In 2026 the fair and its two co-located shows, Vietnam Sport Show and Vietnam Cycle Expo, together had 520 booths of 400 businesses from 15 countries and territories on 10,000 m², according to Vietnam News and VietnamPlus. The 2023 edition, held alone in Hanoi, had over 120 booths.

Is the Zhejiang Export Fair the same as “hội chợ Chiết Giang”?

Yes. Chiết Giang is the Vietnamese name for Zhejiang, so “hội chợ Chiết Giang” and “Hội chợ Giao dịch Xuất khẩu Chiết Giang” refer to this fair. It also appears as Zhejiang Expo or the Zhejiang International Trade Exhibition. It should not be confused with CSE ASIA, the Ningbo consumer-goods showcase held inside Vietnam Expo HCMC in December 2025.

Can a company from outside Zhejiang exhibit?

The Zhejiang Export Fair itself is built for Zhejiang exporters. Companies from other Chinese provinces or other countries that want the same buyers normally take space at Vietnam Sport Show or Vietnam Cycle Expo, which share the hall and dates and drew exhibitors from 15 countries and territories in 2026. Wisematch can book either.
