Vietnam Sport Show 2027 at a glance: dates, venue, organisers

The show ends on a Saturday, which at Vietnamese sports shows brings more consumers and families. If your aim is distributors and gym-chain buyers, put your meetings on Thursday and Friday; if you also want consumer feedback, Saturday helps.

Vietnam Sport Show 2024, 2025 and 2026: how big is it?

Every figure we could source, edition by edition. Note the scope column — some figures cover the Sport Show alone, others the whole block.

The country count has held at about 15. No post-show visitor count has been published, only pre-show expectations. Before you sign, ask how many booths were in the Sport Show halls alone in 2026 and what share of registered visitors were trade buyers. Wisematch requests both from VINEXAD for you.

Who exhibits at Vietnam Sport Show, and who visits

The exhibitor logo strip on the official site, labelled with booth codes from the latest edition, shows 81 logos. We counted 55 whose names include a mainland Chinese city or province — Zhejiang Qingche Textile, Dongguan Dingheng Sports, Xiamen Rigorer, Nantong Regal, Jinhua Art Pickleball, Dongguan SIBOASI and others. About 20 are other Asian and international names (Climb Korea, Taispo, CJ Sports, Toniker Sport, Cardiff, Lemango, Monster Planet) and a few are Vietnamese, such as Vietwinic and LP Support, shown by its Vietnamese distributor HISPORTS. A logo strip is not a full list, but the picture is clear: the floor is supply-heavy and China-heavy.

Press coverage of 2026 adds HISPORTS Vietnam, LP Support, Sodex, Ironman, Selvas, Inbody, Minh Khang 3, Feilin, Jianyi and Nutrtech Biohealth, plus a Taiwan Pavilion (Bizhub / Vietnam News and Điện tử Ứng dụng, July 2026). In 2025 a China Sports (Vietnam) Expo pavilion brought more than 50 companies from Fujian, Guangdong, Jiangsu, Shandong and Zhejiang (VNA).

The organiser names its target visitors as sports centres, fitness clubs, retailers and OEM/ODM partners, reached through B2B matching and a buyer survey tour. The 2026 programme also ran a sports technology workshop and a green-energy seminar — and, for the public, the VN-Strength Deadlift Championship, the Vietnam Arm Wrestling Championship, a TACX cycling challenge and bicycle test rides. Expect gym owners, athletes and families in the aisles, not only procurement managers. A published job-title breakdown does not exist.

Why exhibit at Vietnam Sport Show 2027: five concrete reasons

1. A growing middle-income consumer market that buys sport and fitness

Vietnam’s GDP grew 8.02% in 2025 and GDP per capita reached US$5,026 (National Statistics Office, via Vietnam News). Retail sales of goods and consumer services passed VND7 quadrillion (US$262.7 billion), up 9.2% (NSO, via VNA). That is the spending base for gym memberships, running shoes, rackets and outdoor gear. We found no official figure for the size of the domestic sporting goods market, so we do not quote one; the macro numbers are what you can rely on.

2. Distributors are scarce on the floor — a foreign brand stands out

With roughly two-thirds of visible exhibitors being Chinese factories, Vietnamese distributors and retailers come partly to source. Few exhibitors are brand owners with a local distribution offer. A European, American, Japanese, Korean or Taiwanese brand looking for a distributor is unusual on this floor, which is an advantage. Bring what a factory booth cannot: brand support, certification, warranty, marketing budget and a margin structure a distributor can live on.

3. Fitness and racket sports are visible growth themes

Fitness equipment and wellness names recur in coverage — Sodex, Ironman, Inbody, Nutrtech — and the show runs strength and arm-wrestling championships on site. CitiGym, a gym chain, is listed among the show’s partners. Pickleball shows up both in the exhibitor list (a Jinhua pickleball maker) and in HISPORTS’ own focus. If you sell commercial gym equipment, body-composition devices, recovery products or racket-sport gear, you will find buyers and competitors who confirm the demand.

4. Two audiences under one roof: sport and two-wheelers

Vietnam Cycle Expo runs on the same dates in the same venue, co-organised with the Vietnam Automobile, Motorcycle and Bicycle Association. In 2026 the Zhejiang Export Fair joined the block, which the organiser presents as one ecosystem covering sports equipment, bicycles and manufacturing (Bizhub / Vietnam News, July 2026). 5. Vietnam is also the world’s sportswear and footwear factory

Footwear exports exceeded US$24 billion in 2025, within nearly US$29 billion of leather and footwear exports; foreign-invested firms made about 80% of that value (Vietnam Customs and Lefaso, via VOV, January 2026). Material, component and machinery suppliers will find some sourcing managers at SECC, but most of their real buyers sit in factories in Binh Duong, Dong Nai and Long An. Don’t go to trade shows to hope — go to control probability. The brands that do well here arrive with 30–50 booked meetings and a distributor offer on paper.

Vietnam Sport Show vs other sports trade shows in Asia

Dates for non-VINEXAD shows below come from third-party listings unless marked; confirm with their organisers.

Our view: TaiSPO and China Sport Show are where buyers find factories. Vietnam Sport Show is where a brand finds a Vietnamese distributor, gym-chain accounts and consumer feedback in one week. If Vietnam is the market you want to sell into, this is the more direct floor.

How to exhibit at Vietnam Sport Show 2027, step by step

Counted back from 19 August 2027, the opening day. Wisematch handles each step with VINEXAD.

1. November 2026 — fit and floor plan. Tell us your product and target buyers. We send the 2026 exhibitor list and floor plan, and ask for the split of booths between the Sport Show and Cycle Expo halls.
2. December 2026 – January 2027 — pavilion or own stand. We check whether your country or association plans a pavilion; otherwise we propose stand positions.
3. By February 2027 — book. Raw space if you need demo room for treadmills, a climbing wall or a court surface; shell scheme otherwise. Prices are set by the organiser and quoted to you directly. We order power for powered equipment and screens.
4. March–May 2027 — product rules and freight. Supplements, nutrition products and some medical-type wellness devices need registration before sale in Vietnam; we flag what applies. The show appoints an official freight forwarder; we connect you for shipping and temporary import. SECC states a floor load of 5,000 kg/m², static exhibits only in Hall B.
5. April–June 2027 — visa. We issue visa invitation letters. E-visas of up to 90 days are open to all nationalities at evisa.gov.vn; 12 countries including Germany, France, the UK, Japan and South Korea have a 45-day exemption (Resolution 44/NQ-CP). See our visa guide for trade fair visitors.
6. May–July 2027 — book meetings. Wisematch builds a list of 30–50 gym chains, sports retailers, e-commerce sellers, clubs and contractors and helps with Vietnamese-language invitations and a catalogue with prices in VND or USD and a stated Incoterm.
7. Show days. Interpreters on the stand. Separate trade buyers from consumers; ask each buyer how many outlets or clubs they supply and who decides on new brands. Ask the organiser in advance whether retail sales are allowed and under what invoice rules.
8. Within a week after. We follow up in Vietnamese with price lists, samples and a distributor proposal.

Practical notes: SECC and the August calendar

• SECC is about 20 minutes from the city centre and 45 minutes from Tan Son Nhat International Airport (SECC). Halls A and B are column-free with a 76-metre span; there is about 22,000 m² of outdoor area. Vietnamese visitors often search “triển lãm thể thao SECC” or “triển lãm thể thao quận 7”.

What a booth at Vietnam Sport Show will not do for you

A booth will not find you a distributor by itself. Vietnamese distributors want stock plans, marketing support and a price structure that leaves them a margin, and they rarely sign at a stand. The show gives you three days to meet them, see what competitors charge and watch how visitors react to your product. The agreement comes from the meetings you book before August and the follow-up after it. We cannot promise a number of buyers or orders, and we will not.

In 2026, the Sport Show, Vietnam Cycle Expo and the Zhejiang Export Fair together had about 520 booths and 400+ companies from 15 countries on 10,000 m². No separate 2026 Sport Show figure or post-show visitor count was published.

Where is the sports exhibition held?

At the Saigon Exhibition and Convention Center (SECC), 799 Nguyen Van Linh, Tan My Ward, Ho Chi Minh City — the area formerly called District 7. SECC is about 20 minutes from the city centre and 45 minutes from Tan Son Nhat International Airport, according to the venue.

What products are shown?

Four sectors: sportswear, outdoor sports and leisure, fitness and wellness, and sports facilities and products. Recent editions featured gym equipment, body-composition devices, compression and support wear, racket sports including pickleball, climbing gear and sports textiles, with many Chinese manufacturers and a Taiwan Pavilion in 2026.

Is Vietnam Sport Show open to the public?

It mixes trade and consumer activity. Recent programmes included B2B matching and buyer tours, but also deadlift and arm-wrestling championships, cycling challenges and test rides aimed at the public.
