In short: IGHE, the Vietnam International Gifts & Housewares Expo, is a B2B sourcing fair for kitchenware, household goods, home décor, gifts and hotel supplies. The 2027 edition runs 18–21 November 2027 at VEC, Hanoi. It suits housewares and gift suppliers looking for Vietnamese retail chains, distributors, online sellers and corporate-gift buyers.
Wisematch and IGHE. IGHE is organised by Chaoyu Expo and co-organised by VINEXAD. Wisematch is an official sales agent of VINEXAD. International companies can book booths, national pavilion space and visitor programmes for IGHE 2027 directly through Wisematch — one English-speaking contact on WhatsApp from enquiry to show day.
What Wisematch does for you:
- Booth selection and contract: floor plan, hall position next to the right neighbours, and the booking paperwork with the organisers.
- Shared stand option: space in a country or group pavilion if you want to test Vietnam before taking a full booth.
- Visa invitation letter support, hotel and transfer planning for VEC in Dong Anh.
- Sample shipping and temporary import through the appointed forwarder, plus a checklist for food-contact, electrical and licensed-character products.
- A buyer meeting list (chains, distributors, gift agencies, hotel groups), an interpreter on the stand, and follow-up in Vietnamese after the show.

What is IGHE? The Vietnam gift fair for housewares, décor and gifts
IGHE is a sourcing fair, not a consumer show. It brings manufacturers of household goods and gifts, most of them from China, together with the Vietnamese companies that buy, stock and resell them. Its Vietnamese name translates as the International Exhibition of Household Goods and Gifts, which is why Vietnamese buyers search for it as “triển lãm đồ gia dụng” (housewares exhibition), “hội chợ triển lãm đồ gia dụng” or, because the organiser is Chinese, “triển lãm đồ gia dụng Trung Quốc”.
Three facts define the event:
- Who runs it. Chaoyu Expo, a Chinese exhibition company, organises IGHE together with its sister fairs IEAE and IBTE; VINEXAD, the state-owned company behind Vietnam Expo, is co-organiser. At the 2025 edition Chaoyu’s chairman, Chen Sandao, described IGHE as a platform for Vietnam–China trade (Vietnam Pictorial, VNA, 19 December 2025). In 2024 five Vietnamese associations, including the Vietnam Retailers Association and VINASME, were also named as co-organisers (Đại biểu Nhân dân, 3 December 2024).
- What it covers. The 2024 edition listed five product groups: household products, kitchenware, tableware, gifts and decorative products. In 2025 the scope widened to hotel and restaurant supplies, eco-friendly disposables, biodegradable packaging, tents and event goods.
- Where it has been held. The 2024 and 2025 editions both ran on 18–20 December at SECC in Ho Chi Minh City, the venue many Vietnamese still call “District 7” — hence searches such as “triển lãm đồ gia dụng quận 7” and “triển lãm đồ gia dụng SECC”. In 2027 IGHE moves to VEC in Hanoi.
What IGHE is not: a furniture fair or a design-led lifestyle show. Furniture makers are better served by specialist furniture fairs; garden and outdoor suppliers should compare the Vietnam Home & Garden Expo at SECC in December.
IGHE dates: Hanoi in November 2027, or Ho Chi Minh City in December?
| Edition | Dates | Venue | Source |
|---|---|---|---|
| IGHE 2024 | 18–20 Dec 2024 | SECC, HCMC | Đại biểu Nhân dân; VietnamPlus, Dec 2024 |
| IGHE 2025 | 18–20 Dec 2025 | SECC, HCMC | Vietnam News; VNA, Dec 2025 |
| IGHE 2026 | 10–13 Dec 2026 | SECC, HCMC | ighe.com.vn, General Information (modified 6 Jul 2026) |
| IGHE 2027 | 18–21 Nov 2027 | VEC, Hanoi | VINEXAD 2027 calendar |
If your buyers are in the south and you want to see the show before 2027, the 10–13 December 2026 edition at SECC is seven weeks away. Walking it as a visitor tells you more about the floor and the buyers than any brochure.
How big is IGHE? Exhibitors, booths and visitors
All figures are the organisers’, as published or reported by the press. Forecasts and opening-day reports are kept apart.
| Edition | Pre-show figures | Opening report | Source |
|---|---|---|---|
| 2024, SECC | 200 companies, 300 booths, 10,000+ m²; about 15,000 buyers expected | “More than 150 companies” from several countries and territories | Đại biểu Nhân dân, 3 Dec 2024; VietnamPlus, 18 Dec 2024 |
| 2025, SECC | 10,000 m², 500+ booths, 250+ exhibitors, 10,000+ products | Opened 18 Dec with 10,000+ products from 250+ enterprises in 500 booths | Vietnam News, 4 Dec 2025; VNA, 19 Dec 2025; Thuế & Hải quan, 18 Dec 2025 |
| 2026, SECC | Homepage counters: 10,000 m², 500 booths, 250 exhibitors, 40,000 visitors (undated) | Not yet held | ighe.com.vn, October 2026 |
| 2027, VEC | Not yet published | VINEXAD 2027 calendar | |
In plain terms: IGHE is a compact fair of about 250 exhibitors on roughly 10,000 m², which at VEC is about one hall of the Kim Quy building (each main hall is about 9,400–9,600 m², per vec.global). You can walk it in a day, and so can your buyers — which helps a small exhibitor get noticed. Booth count grew faster than exhibitor count between 2024 and 2025 (from 1.5 to two booths per company), pointing to larger stands and cluster pavilions. The 40,000-visitor counter on the homepage has no year and no definition; the only dated buyer figure is the 2024 forecast of about 15,000. Ask for the final exhibitor list of the previous edition before you book.

What is on show at this household goods trade fair
Kitchen, tableware and stainless steel
Kitchen tools, stainless-steel items, eco-friendly products and multi-function food containers; one named 2025 exhibitor, Wuyu Technology, showed food-container sets. The organisers also highlighted stainless-steel kitchenware from the Chaozhou cluster. Buyers: supermarket and convenience-chain category managers, kitchenware wholesalers, online sellers.
Thermal bottles, small appliances and storage
Insulated bottles, multi-function household appliances and smart storage. The best-known 2025 example was licensed Sanrio and Chiikawa insulated bottles from X&W — licensed characters carry real weight in this category. Plug-in appliances may be better placed at IEAE, on the same 2027 dates.
Home décor, fragrance and seasonal goods
Decorative items, room fragrance and essential oils (Kuangshi Zhiyuan in 2025), outdoor items, Christmas decorations and seasonal collections.
Gifts: corporate, creative and licensed
Creative and office gifts, stationery, promotional sets, co-branded IP collections, premium gift sets, handicrafts and fashion accessories, including Yiwu-cluster gifts. Buyers include corporate-gift agencies, banks and FMCG marketing teams, and souvenir retailers.
Hotel, restaurant and event supplies
Hotel and restaurant supplies, eco-friendly disposables, biodegradable packaging, tents and festival goods (RunSen showed outdoor gear in 2025). In 2024 Shopee, Lazada and Amazon were announced as seminar speakers; the 2025 programme included a logistics session co-hosted by SPX Express and VINEXAD.
Why exhibit at IGHE Vietnam: five concrete reasons
A booth is worth the money only if the people walking past buy what you make, in volume, more than once. Here is the case for IGHE, with the numbers behind it.
1. Home and living is Vietnam’s second-largest online category
On Shopee, TikTok Shop, Lazada and Tiki combined, the Home & Living category (“Nhà cửa – Đời sống”) sold VND56.6 trillion in 2025, second only to beauty (VND74.4 trillion), out of a VND429.66 trillion total that grew 34.75% on 2024 (Metric.vn via VnEconomy, January 2026). Stationery, a core gift line, grew 54.76%. Those sales come from hundreds of thousands of online shops that need new products every season. Many of them source at fairs like IGHE rather than flying to Yiwu or Guangzhou. If you can offer photo-ready packaging, small first orders and steady restocking, this is a large and active buyer group.
2. Retail is growing, and chains are adding categories
Retail sales of goods and consumer services passed VND7 quadrillion (US$262.7 billion) in 2025, up 9.2%; goods alone rose 8.0% (National Statistics Office, via VNA). Supermarket, convenience and lifestyle chains keep opening stores — AEON, for example, announced its 13th general merchandise store in Vietnam in October 2026 (VIR). Category managers for kitchenware, storage and home décor need suppliers who can deliver consistent quality, labelling and repeat volumes. A booth at IGHE puts you in the one room where many of them shop for the season.
3. Hotels and restaurants are buying again
Vietnam received nearly 21.2 million international arrivals in 2025, a record and up 20.4% (NSO, via VNA). The 2025 edition responded with a hotel, restaurant and disposables zone. For suppliers of hotel amenities, tableware for food service, eco-friendly disposables and biodegradable packaging, IGHE is a direct route to purchasing managers who otherwise buy through importers.
4. Corporate gifting and Tết timing favour a November Hanoi show
Hanoi concentrates the head offices of banks, state companies and large corporates that order gifts and promotional sets every year. A show on 18–21 November 2027 sits about ten weeks before Tết, the Lunar New Year, which falls on 26 January 2028 — the peak gifting season. Northern buyers place seasonal orders early. For corporate and premium gift suppliers, the November Hanoi date is better placed than the December Ho Chi Minh City editions have been.
5. Buyers now ask about origin, standards and materials
At the 2025 opening, Tô Ngọc Sơn, deputy director of the Ministry of Industry and Trade’s foreign markets department, said Vietnamese consumers are moving from “using enough” to “using well, smart and safe”, paying more attention to origin, production standards and environmental impact (Thuế & Hải quan, 18 December 2025). Vietnam already imported US$186.0 billion from China in 2025, its largest source (NSO via VCCI), so buyers know the Chinese price benchmark well. A Japanese, Korean, Thai or European brand with test reports, food-contact certificates and better materials has a clear story on a floor full of factory-direct goods. So does a Vietnamese maker of ceramics, lacquer, rattan or bamboo, with local production and no import duty.
And a practical bonus: in 2027 IGHE, IEAE and IBTE run on the same dates at VEC. A supplier with kitchen appliances, children’s tableware or electronic gifts can meet buyers from all three shows in one trip.

IGHE vs other consumer-goods trade shows in Vietnam in 2027
If housewares and gifts are only part of your range, compare IGHE with the shows closest to it. Full list: consumer goods trade shows in Vietnam 2027.
| Show | 2027 dates and venue | Focus | Main buyer | Choose it if |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| IGHE | 18–21 Nov, VEC Hanoi (calendar) | Kitchenware, household goods, décor, gifts, hospitality supplies | Chains, distributors, online sellers, gift agencies | You sell repeat-order household or gift products |
| IBTE | 18–21 Nov, VEC Hanoi (calendar) | Toys, baby products, licensed toys, stationery | Toy and baby retailers, distributors | Your range is for children |
| IEAE | 18–21 Nov, VEC Hanoi (calendar) | Consumer electronics, smart appliances, components | Electronics distributors, appliance retailers | Your products plug in |
| Vietnam Home & Garden Expo | 2–4 Dec, SECC (calendar) | Home, garden, landscape | Garden centres, contractors, developers | You sell garden, outdoor or home-improvement goods in the south |
| Vietnam Expo HCMC | 2–4 Dec, SECC (calendar) | Multi-sector, national pavilions | Broad trade audience | You want a country pavilion and a wide audience |
| Zhejiang Export Fair | 19–21 Aug, SECC | Products from Zhejiang exporters, incl. Yiwu goods | Vietnamese importers sourcing from China | You are a buyer comparing Chinese suppliers |
The quick rule: if your customer buys household goods or gifts by the carton for resale, IGHE is the closer match. If your range spans toys or electronics too, the shared November week lets you cover two or three audiences in one trip.
Who should exhibit at IGHE, who should visit, and who should skip it
| Your product | Fit | Main buyer to target | Watch out for |
|---|---|---|---|
| Kitchenware, cookware, stainless steel | Strong — core category | Supermarket chains, kitchenware wholesalers, online sellers | Many direct Chinese competitors; food-contact rules for some items |
| Thermal bottles, lunch boxes, storage | Strong | Retail chains, corporate-gift agencies | Licensed-IP products need proof of licence |
| Corporate and promotional gifts | Strong, especially in Hanoi | Gift agencies, marketing teams of banks and FMCG brands | Buyers expect logo printing and short lead times |
| Home décor, fragrance, candles | Good | Lifestyle stores, interior shops, online sellers | Fragile goods: plan sample freight |
| Hotel and restaurant supplies, disposables | Good — newer zone (2025) | Hotel groups, restaurant chains, packaging distributors | Smaller zone; check the floor plan |
| Vietnamese ceramics, lacquer, rattan, bamboo | Good | Retail chains, gift and souvenir buyers | Price comparison with imports on the same aisle |
| Small electrical appliances | Partial | Appliance retailers | Compare IEAE; electrical certification |
| Furniture; toys and baby products | Weak | — | Furniture fairs; book IBTE for children’s products |
Who should visit: Vietnamese importers, distributors and chain buyers planning the next season’s range; online sellers looking for differentiated household products; corporate-gift agencies; hotel and restaurant purchasers; and foreign suppliers considering exhibiting in 2028 who want to see the floor first. Wisematch arranges visitor programmes and pre-booked meetings for international buyers. Foreign buyers sourcing for export should also read our sourcing in Vietnam guide.
Who should wait: a brand that will not have a Vietnamese-speaking contact for at least six months after the show, or one whose products are not yet labelled and registered for sale in Vietnam. Fix that first.
How to exhibit at IGHE 2027, step by step
Counted back from the calendar opening day, 18 November 2027. Don’t go to trade shows to hope — go to control probability. Wisematch handles each step with you.
- November 2026 – January 2027: decide. If you can, walk the 10–13 December 2026 edition at SECC. Send Wisematch your range and target buyers; we tell you whether IGHE, IBTE, IEAE or another show fits, and whether a shared stand makes more sense for year one.
- February – April 2027: book. Wisematch confirms your hall with the organisers, sends the floor plan and the previous exhibitor list so you can see your neighbours, and handles the contract. Options normally include a shell-scheme booth (walls, fascia, basic furniture and lighting) or raw space for your own build.
- April – July 2027: check compliance. Food-contact items, electrical goods and licensed-character products may need testing, labelling or proof of licence before sale in Vietnam. Samples on display do not, but buyers will ask. Wisematch sends a checklist so you can confirm with a licensed testing body.
- July – September 2027: logistics and visas. Samples travel through the appointed forwarder under temporary import — the official site warns not to ship exhibits to the venue address. Wisematch coordinates the paperwork and arrival deadline. For your team we provide invitation letters where a business visa is needed; many nationalities can use the e-visa or a visa exemption (see below).
- September – October 2027: build the meeting list. ICP clear → meet the right buyer → close faster. Wisematch drafts 30–50 named targets by type — chain category managers, distributors, online sellers, gift agencies, hotel purchasers — and invites them in Vietnamese. You prepare a Vietnamese price list with MOQ, lead time, Incoterm and customisation options.
- Show days, 18–21 November 2027. A Wisematch interpreter works the stand with you. Ask every visitor three questions: what they buy, how much per season, and who signs the order.
- Within a week after. Wisematch follows up every qualified contact in Vietnamese with samples or quotes, while buyers are still placing Tết orders.
Getting to VEC

- Venue: VEC opened on 19 August 2025 on a 90 ha site; the Kim Quy building has ten main halls totalling about 93,000 m² (vec.global). Guide: VEC Hanoi events 2027.
- From Noi Bai airport: about 15 minutes (Tuoi Tre News, 2024). From central Hanoi allow 30–45 minutes at peak times.
- Hotels: most visitors stay in Hoan Kiem, Ba Dinh or Tay Ho; a JW Marriott next to VEC is expected in 2027 per the operator, so do not count on it. Wisematch can arrange daily transfers.
- Visa: e-visas for all nationalities, valid up to 90 days, via evisa.gov.vn. Citizens of Germany, France, Japan, South Korea, the UK and seven other countries can enter for up to 45 days visa-free under Resolution 44/NQ-CP (valid to 14 March 2028). Chinese citizens need an e-visa or visa. More in our business visa guide for trade fairs.
For the December editions at SECC (799 Nguyen Van Linh, Tan My Ward), see our SECC events guide.
Cost lines to plan for (no prices here)
Wisematch does not publish booth prices, because they depend on size, position and booth type. Plan for: space or shell scheme, stand build if raw space, freight and temporary import, product testing where required, interpreter and Vietnamese print, four nights in Hanoi, transfers to Dong Anh, and follow-up samples. We quote each line in writing before you commit.
What a booth at IGHE will not do for you
A booth gives you four days in a hall with buyers. It does not give you a distributor, register your product, or turn a business card into an order. No organiser and no agent can promise a number of buyers or orders at IGHE, and we don’t. What you take home depends on meetings booked before you arrive and follow-up in Vietnamese after. No empty promises: we measure ourselves by real deals.

How big is IGHE?
The 2025 edition covered 10,000 m² with more than 500 booths and over 250 exhibitors showing more than 10,000 products, according to VINEXAD via Vietnam News and VNA. The 2024 edition was forecast at 200 companies and 300 booths, with more than 150 companies reported at opening. No audited visitor figure has been published for any edition.
What products are shown at IGHE?
Kitchenware and stainless steel, tableware, thermal bottles and storage, small household appliances, home décor and fragrance, outdoor and Christmas goods, corporate, creative and licensed gifts, handicrafts, and hotel and restaurant supplies including eco-friendly disposables and biodegradable packaging. Most named exhibitors in 2025 were Chinese brands and industrial clusters such as Chaozhou and Yiwu.
Is IGHE a Chinese housewares exhibition?
Largely, on the supply side. The organiser, Chaoyu Expo, is Chinese and most named exhibitors are Chinese factories and brands, while VINEXAD co-organises and the buyers are mainly Vietnamese. That is why searchers call it “triển lãm đồ gia dụng Trung Quốc”. Non-Chinese and Vietnamese suppliers can exhibit, and often stand out on quality, design or local production.
Is the Vietnam IGHE the same as IGHE Indonesia?
No. A separate housewares fair using the IGHE name runs in Jakarta, Indonesia. This page covers only the Vietnam International Gifts & Housewares Expo, held at SECC in Ho Chi Minh City through 2026 and at VEC in Hanoi in November 2027.
